I totally agree. What a joke 😡
Just so I have this right, you believe that it is predetermined as to whether or not we get the global prize. It has nothing to do with the players filling boats or trucks or catching fish and being rewarded for our efforts. Or, in short, we are being lied to.
I guess I just don't see it that way. The goals are set and are generally attainable. Sometimes we have missed the mark.
It puzzles me that anyone would play a game when they believe it to be rigged in the manner you describe. The moment I believed that to be true would be the last moment the game existed on my device.
One day 20 hours left, and I've completed 12 boats! :p
Even though I've thrown myself into the challenge of getting 22 boats, I'm reading the feedback in the thread and agree that SC should've set the final personal goal much lower.
If the usual goal is 10 boats, then maybe 15 or 17 would've been a more palatable challenge. A lot more people would've had a happier feeling about the game. Maybe they would've spent a few diamonds but they would've been okay with it. It could've generated more vocal enthusiasm about the event and the game, and excitement like that is contagious.
These past few months, we've missed reaching the global goal in more events than usual. Of course, I was disappointed we missed the goal, but I also felt a little sad for this game. Does missing goals we used to surpass so easily mean, now, fewer people are playing? They're less engaged? Are we witnesses to a game that's peaked and now sliding into decline? I don't know, but these are questions that popped up in my mind.
Or are the top-event NHs refusing to participate because of the vulnerability that allows players to access all farms/RSSs within a NH as long as they have access to even one of the NH's members?

I can imagine many players no longer wanting to appear on the "top contributors" tab lest they expose their entire NH to unchecked harrassment.
In my opinion, SC has often been dismissive and indifferent to players who recoil at having strangers access their farms through various entry points - both designed and glitched. Hopefully, they'll repair this bug. Although, based on their track record, I'm not optimistic.
But stuff like this, and our repeated failing to meet global goals, dampens the mood about the game.
SC could've made this new final goal a true mood-booster and morale-builder by increasing the number of required boats more reasonably. Hopefully, they reconsider such a huge jump in future.
Thank you, illinirick!
I am at 12 boats as well! My sentiments, exactly.
if it were not for the fact that I am uninspired from hay day lately, I would not even try 22 boats.
however, I opened a chest for 5 diamonds, levelled up to 123 for 10 diamond and we are about to get the global diamonds, so my goal is to finish this event with as few diamonds used as possible...
What a joke! Impossible to do for people who have a job - and one does not get to find out that one actually needs 22 boats til one has worked very hard to get to 7. If anything, this has motivated me to play less. I always like a little challenge but this is nothing but a disappointment.
Another disappointment from SC. 22 boats is absolutely ridiculous. If I had known when I started the challenge that we would have to fill 22 boats, I wouldn't have even bothered. Just another scam for people to waste diamonds, and those of us who can't afford to spend money on diamonds are just screwed anyway. I did NOT find this challenge amoozing at all. Thanks for nothing SC
You could try as hard as you like, but you still would have had to use diamonds to do it. Not everyone is able to waste money on diamonds and challenges should be set up to be fair to all who play the game. The derby is a perfect example....you can try as hard as you like and use all your time and resources to try and place in the top 3, but it is very apparent that those who win are those who have used diamonds to get there. This to me is not a fair playing field. I am an avid player as well, but none of this is amoozing to me and I'm sure that there are others who would agree. It would certainly show more skill on the part of a player to be able to accomplish challenges by not using diamonds than to slide through challenges just using diamonds. I know that SC loves all you players with deep pockets.....as for me, I need my money for more important things like food and shelter. Have a great day all!
Not cool... Should've been 10 boats
Well said. I've made it to 14 boats so far without diamonds. Even if SC had it set to 18 boats instead of 22, it still would of been a real challenge. I would of only bought diamonds if the boats offered double vouchers during the event. That would also been more of an incentive to play. Its too bad a really fun game has to turn into an impossible challenge unless diamonds are bought. And most people don't have money to do that as well as the time to get all the boats completed before time is up. I refuse to spend more than 2-3hrs a day playing a game. I have other priorities and hobbies that need to be attended to
