Goblin hut in a player village
This weekend we received a word of a player village with no Clan Castle and three Goblin Huts from the single player levels. The village has now been fixed and if you spot more of these kind of oddities, please report them either to our support or here on this sub-forum.
What caused this?
This was caused by a bug in an earlier version of the game. Under very rare circumstances, a player village could be replaced with a village from the single player levels. The bug was fixed months ago and players who reported it got back their original villages. However, any player who didn't report the problem will still be affected.
Because the village was replaced by a Goblin level, there's no Clan Castle, instead there are a few Goblin Huts. There are also no builder huts in the Goblin levels, so the player in question had to buy all 3 that he now has.
Was this a hack?
No. By definition, hacking means gaining access to a computer system you shouldn't have access to. We here at Supercell take the risk of hacking very seriously, and have implemented numerous safeguards against it. So far all of the oddities in Clash of Clans that have been mistaken for hacks have been caused by a bug (unintentional) or by glitching (intentional).
What should I do if I encounter a bug like this in the game?
Please report all bugs using the in-game "Report an issue" button or on this forum. Try to report as much information as possible, including screen shots if possible. Also, don't be too quick to jump to conclusions. Calling an innocent player a hacker, and demanding that they are banned is not nice. However, it's every player's responsibility to report bugs that affect them in a timely manner.
