What he means is that the reason you are getting bad matchups is because you have no th10, having th9s and 11s with no th10s makes it hard to get a fair matchup. You need to take out the th11s or get a couple of th10s if you want a fair matchup.

Lol, was just in a war with two TH 11 built like max 9 with lvl 10 wardens with 1 maxish TH 10 and more of a rushed TH 10 without infernos. Bad walls and Heros.
Anyway. We knew right off the two 11 with max miners and little else were gonna spam overpower our 1 maxish TH 10 and 3 new TH 10 without infernos. So letting everyone else attack 4 or more down leveling those bases. We knew before war started that they were going to get a perfect war. Nice long win streak....they leveled us (I even put storages next to wizzie towers with bombs....mass miner scoff) and we got close but didn't get a perfect war against them.
I haven't warred since...that's nonsense. I haven't raided really since they made league bonuses based on percentages. Heck spend more time here looking for news about this issue.
no. We are facing fully maxed offenses with weak defenses and defenseless at the bottom 1/4. We have 5 th9s but only two are well developed. I think you just think you know what you're talking about.
Anyway I'll check periodically to see if supercell finally does something about this. Until then the clan isn't interested in playing this way.
Exactly they wanted their th11s paired against a th 10. Sometimes matchmaking goes your way and sometimes it doesn't.
The only time my clan found engineered bases was when we tried to fill with junk bases ( level 15-30) to lower our overall war weight.
We quit trying to game the system and haven't found a really bad matchup since.
Stop complaining and fight them... It's a game after all. You win some lose some...
Ealier no one seems to complain about this issue, there could be anything... It's your opponent's choice which player goes to war.. Every player deserve to be in war, so just face it rather then asking to check your clans opponent.
From early ages it's always been going on " Everything is fair in love and war" even God used to send spy's.

So…ouch.
I visited LazyGiraffe’s clan and I gotta say - you guys got a pretty rock solid line up. A pair of max TH11s at the top, followed by 12 near-max TH9s (maxed on defense, mostly on offense) with fairly strong heroes, and a max and near max TH8 at the bottom.
The opposing clan starts with a pair of TH11s that are of similar strength to LazyGiraffe’s, with what looks to be a recently upgraded TH10 in the #3 slot (young heroes; 11/15), an essentially maxed TH9.5 (TH10 with no infernos) in the #4 slot, a mid-TH9.5 (again, no infernos) in the #5 slot, a similar TH9.5 in the #6 slot, relatively new/rushed TH9.5 at #7. #8 is a TH9 with mid-level heroes and what looks like maxed structures and a fairly typical TH9 cast of troops.
#9 is a rushed TH10 with TH8 offense, level 9 BK and AQ. He was recently raided for near 100% so it was tough to see everything, but he doesn’t really look engineered at this point, so much as rushed. There are level 10 archer towers, level 2 x-bows, level 6 and 7 air defenses, level 7 mortars…. He’s not going to be able to attack well, except maybe against the bottom 2. The only thing he has going for him, offensively, is level 4 valkyries and golems. I would call this game more strategically rushed than engineered to cause a mismatch, but it will definitely drop the overall war weight, especially since he does not appear to have dropped his infernos yet (so he’s engineering at least a little).
#10 is a fairly straightforward TH9, looks to be a bit better than midway through the level, offense is fair-to-middlin’; not as strong as the TH9s on LG’s clan. He has level 5 hogs, level 2 valkyries and baby dragons, but still level 1 golems, witches, and hounds. #11 is roughly the same.
#12 is another TH10. This one is pretty clearly being engineered. Most walls are level 7 (purples), defense structures are early TH9 or TH8 maxed, and he has not yet dropped his infernos. He looks to have dropped all of the defenses - and is working them up to max TH8 levels, judging by the upgrades he has in progress. His offense is week; this player will have problems with the TH8s and isn’t going to get more than one star on the TH9s (unless the base designs are extremely poor).
#13 is also clearly being engineered to take advantage of weakness in the matchmaking algorithm. Here we have a TH10 with two level 10 cannons; one level 9 archer tower; one level 1 inferno; and mostly level 1 walls. Offensively, he’s largely an early TH7/ early TH8. This is another one who will not be able to three star any bases.
#14 is an average TH8; a little rushed (pink and purple walls) but all defenses are down and being upgraded. Archer towers have on more upgrade to go, cannons are maxed, two of three ADs are maxed, wizard towers are still level 5. #15 is roughly the same; a little earlier in defensive upgrades than #14, but same mix of pinks and purples, cannons maxed, etc. Both have roughly the same offense as well; early-to-mid TH8.
So there are really just three games here that are engineered (non-x.5) - #9, #12, and #13. While #9 is more strategic rushed without the infernos dropped, the other two are heavily engineered (especially #13). The biggest problem here are the 9.5s; only one of their TH10s are playing for the overall development of their game (#3) whereas the rest are maxing everything out before they drop their infernos.
Overall, the roster has clearly been engineered to draw in a weaker clan. The more of these I see, the more convinced I am that it isn’t engineering in general that is the problem so much as the x.5 games. FWIW, I think SC really strengthened the value of the 8.5/9.5/10.5 games in their last update (March). That’s what’s hurting the most in this matchup; LG’s clan never should have drawn such an uneven match-up. The question becomes whether or not his clan can pull off the upset. They’ll easily zero out the bottom 8, but they have 7 others with only 4 attacks typically capable of pulling the three star. Probably the best strategy here is to get the TH9s hammering on the TH11s to pull out two stars on each, then focus the four TH11 attacks on three starring four of the five TH10s and getting a two star with a TH9 on the remaining TH10. That will yield 42 stars. If they’re lucky, one of their strongest TH9s might be able to three star the bottom TH10 for 43 stars; it’s still pretty young.
LG - How’s the score so far? Are these guys bad attackers and struggling with your essentially maxed TH9 lineup? I'll bet you can beat them....
Ok then, don't war. But just because you engineer some bases, doesn't mean you have to go around bullying those that don't. There are many ways to give yourself a disadvantage in war if you outmatch your opponent and want to keep it fair.
And war is the most entertaining aspect of the game, for me at least.
