My idea to improve clan chat
English is my third language so I must say sorry in advance if I make any mistakes.
Ok, let's talk about chats, the in game chat is a very important tool and the main tool to promote the social aspect of the game. Without the social aspect the game wouldn't have survived for so long. The in game chats let players to donate each other, to discuss different matters and to play friendly challenges. The chat is what makes the game a game of clans, a game of players who play together as a team rather than only a game where you can attack and defend without communicating with anyone. The chat is really important and I think it deserves more love. The game is going forward all the time but the chat is barely changed and I think falls back. As a result almost every serious clan uses a 3rd party chat software like whatsup kick or line to communicate. In a busy clan with a lot of players the chat is very busy and unorganized. Here are my ideas to improve the in game chats:
1. Global chat:
The global chat is one of the first features implemented in the game and it was a big thing back then, the main place for players from around the world to discuss the game, recruit players to their clan and have fun. But now if you open the global chat you only see boring kids talking about unrelated stuff, players who make fun of other players who they consider rushed or noobs, and hoppers searching for a clan to hope to just for fun or troops. In my clan no one has opened the global chat for months, the last time I wrote something there was years ago and I think it's like that for most of the players. Players now join clans from their country by searching and not some global random clans they find in global chat.
So here is something I think can make a twist in global chat. Make friendly challenges available in global chat exactly as it is in clan chat right now. Players from around the world will open the global chat and try each other's base in the friendly challenges. When their clan mates are not online they will be able to go to the global chat and have fun friendly challenging there. It will boost greatly the popularity of global chat and make it a good place for flashers from around the world to meet again.
2. Clan chat:
in almost any busy clan with a lot of players the clan chat is very busy, so busy that massages you write, donation requests you make and friendly challenges disappear fast after the 100 message count reached. That's why clans use 3rd party chat software like whatup kick and line. There are a lot of things I think can be implemented to make the clan chat more useful, organized and productive for the clan mates:
2.1. Separate clan chat thread for donation. A separate thread that all the donation requests will be there and will not disappear if the chat is too active. It helps a lot especially when you ask for a heavy troop like golem that takes time to cook and don't want to remain active to make sure the request has not disappeared.
2.2. Separate clan chat thread for friendly challenges. All the freindly challenges will be in this thread, and like the donation, will not disappear if the chat is too active.
2.3. Separate clan chat for co leaders and leader. I don't know a single clan that has no whatsup kick or line groups for co leaders. In the co leader chat, matters like who to take to war, who to demote/promote or who to kick out will be discussed, making it easier for co leaders to having this talks without leaving the game.
2.4. Main chat thread for anything else, exactly like now, but all the friendly challenges and donation requests will be held in the related chats.
2.5. Increase of the max message count of the main thread from 100 to 200. Will make sure massages don't disappear to fast in a busy chat.
I think this changes would make the clan chat much more organized and will promote greatly the social aspect of the game.
3. Other ideas I have, related to chats:
3.1. Base layout share option:
In clash royal we can copy a deck of any other player, why don't give an option to copy instantly a base design without the need of coping it in the edit mode from scratch like now. I think it will be best if you can copy base only if the owner of the base has shared it. The base owner will be able to share a design and it will pop up in the chat. Any other player witch has the same amount of structures (like players of the same th) will be able to copy the shared base layout and put it in one of their base layout slots.
It will help a lot when a new player wants to join wars and the leaders can share a good base design with him, or when there is a good base layout designer in the clan (like in my clan) that likes to build layouts for everyone. It will help save time coping a base, making it available to copy in an instance instead of doing it in edit mode from scratch.
If player 1 shares with player 2, I think it can be implemented in a way that every building that player 1 has and player 2 doesn't will be missing when player 2 copies the base, and every building that player 2 has and player 1 doesn't will be in the queue to be added in the edit mode. After player 2 copies the base and places it in a layout slot he will enter edit mod and would need to add the remaining buildings, exactly like when you do "finish later" in edit mod.
3.2. Spesific troop donation request:
Everyone knows how frustrating it is to receive a troop that you didn't want while you asked for something else. My idea it to have an option to ask for spesific troop combo that only they can be donated. The clan leaders will be able to make this option avaliable in the clan or not to.
3.3. A kind of in game clash war manager:
A list in the game where players can put their name on a number they want to attack and the co leaders can approve or disapprove it. It will help clans to organize better their wars without the use of 3rd party software like clash war manager or clash caller.
Thank you for reading until this point :). I'll be happy to hear what you think about my idea or if you have another idea to improve chats.
