Also why are your guys in war rushed? Stop rushing your ths and you have no problems.

It's not unfair and fits within the game play. It's called a strategy and you have the same opportunity to do it as well. It is actually very difficult and time consuming to build engineering bases out. It's like complaining someone in your family is richer than you and is unfair. Well you could be rich too if you stop being lazy and work for ut.
I know exactly how it works, i set up arrange wars. Yes a th spread has everything to do with a total war weight amount, that's why i said it. If you have 5 th10s, 5 th9s and and 3 th8s, then last 7 are th4s in a 20vs20 your total weight can make you match with 3 th11s, 3 th10s, 4 th9s, 8 th8s and 2 th7s.
Why? Because you through off the matching and lowered your overall weight by throwing in the th4s causing a wider spread.
You didn't read the release notes for the MM update earlier this year then? In which SC confirmed that matchmaking worked on a "lane-by-lane" (what the rest of us call mirror) comparison. Prior to the update it had not calculated total or average weight at all.
After the update it does calculate an average as an additional check, but the main match is still done on mirrors.
So composition is very important. One difficulty of a wider spread is it gets less and less likely there will be another matching clan with exactly the same mix; so the matches tend to get a loopier as the spread increases.
(Having said that because the difference between a TH3 and TH7 isn't all that large anyway, sticking some TH3/defenceless on the bottom does tend to give the advantage at the top)
You keep saying they are using. 5s but then say they all have max defense to your low lvl defense. Which is it, are they max defense or .5s low defense?
Your stories never add up and when people ask you details about your clans th lvls from beginning to end and your clans offense and defense you invade the question by keep saying there win streak. Either you're lying or your not understanding what .5s are and how war matches work.
Ok lets try this, what is your clan tag so we can view what bases you all have?
No, the spread has nothing to do with matchmaking. You can also have all 20 TH8's and match up against 10 TH 9's and 10 TH3's.
Minimizing your spread does not make it more likely that your opponent will have a minimized spread. You will be matched against a clan with similar weight, regardless of how it is spread out.
Well, can't argue with that logic. You go ahead and keep telling yourself that.
In the meantime, I will continue to bring TH3's as spot fillers in my TH9-10 wars to counter the other clans that do, and to gain an advantage against those that don't. The biggest mismatches I have seen are when our lowest are TH8's and they have several TH3's with a big advantage up top.
