I farmed fine as an 8.5, and fine as a full th9. if anything, I defended better because weaker people would attack me. Although, I didn't pay attention that much. I don't see xbows as that big of a help on defense as weaker people tend to avoid them.

Solutions:

1) Add weight to town hall so defenseless bases no longer work.

2) After a month at a new town hall the war weight will automatically go up as if all new defenses were built. A month is long enough to upgrade offense. Permanent .5 bases are ruining clan wars.

3) Add weight to offense, by lowering the weight of offense you ENCOURAGE defenseless and .5 bases.

Your match up will probably be quite equal in terms of war weight values. They just have much stronger offence for their top guys as they will have engineered their matches that way.

I'd join them if I were you. Get a .5 mini

Where were you critics of .5 before SC tweeked the defensive weights of walls and TH specific defences... Was it allright then or did you also complain at that time ? Lets take a trip back in time... There were just as many threads about mismatches back then.. only they were of the kind .. "our opponent TH10's all have IT's... only one of ours have IT's - thats totally unfair" "our opponent has maxed walls... none of our bases have maxed walls - it's unfair, we don't stand a chance" etc.

Fact is, that no matter how SC try to balance offence and defence it is imposible to match a lopsided base (in either direction) to a balanced base without one of the sides claiming an unfair match. Should the MM start matching at base level rather than clan level, the searches would be endless like the clouds in legend leagues - who wants that ?

Yet another useless complain thread. We're not getting any real betterment until we get a new devs team that actually knows and play the game.

weird my clan does 40s and we never come across this type of scenario we also limit our searches to be under an hour.

we do have a bunch of low ths to balance the top out and try and get more even for the 9s

wouldn't it make more sense to add weight to the spell factory and research lab instead of the townhall

It's probably your th lvl spread. So if you have th10s, th9s and th8s do not put anything in war smaller than a th8. Only use a spread of 3 th lvls in war and you won't match bad.
