I love listening to the birds chirping. I find it really relaxing after a hard day's work��

My game and my iPad in general is always on mute. I hate the voices of the townspeople. If I could just have the birds and animal sounds that would be fine, but the rest of it I find annoying.

I'd love it if we could choose on/off for the various sounds. I mostly play with the sound on low as I love to hear the animals, but I hate the visitors (farm & town) they're too loud & rude! I have clearly have a sense of humour failure over the stupid townsfolk, saying 'yum' for nonfood items as it just irritates me. However, knowing it amuses so many of my friends it will make me less irritated when I hear it ;)
I love all the animals on the farm & the ducks/lobsters over on the lake. If I could only choose one to keep it would be the Donkeys, but the lobsters always make me laugh too....wheeeeeee
This is gonna sound mean but I play on mute for the sole reason being the game doesn't lag with no sfx. I noticed that immediately when I turned off sound. Could just be me though.

The ice cream maker though, that always reminds me if I've had a few too many beverages or maybe a dodgy curry the night before...
I really like the sound of the mine when you use the mining tools "Boom". When you use multiple tools at repetition, it's really cool :)
I like the sound tat pie oven makes, frogs make when they jump in and out of the ponds and the diary make when am filling tat machine.

But the lag on opening the game now (just returning to it from another screen) is REALLY bad. Really, really bad. I assume it's got something to do with the way GC & SC now 'talk' to each other. It would be great if SC chose to fix this.
I think you're correct on the reasons for the delay. And let's not forget there really are now 3 versions of GC: the old style that lasted until iOS 6, the version with the bubbles which existed until iOS 9 and now the invisible useless can't do nothing version except trash everyone which we for with iOS 10.Quote:

As for lag, it has gotten progressively worse again on older devices. Something that hasn't manifested itself with any other game I play, some of which are at least as graphic intense as Hay Day.

I don't really have a favourite sound.. I like gathering the xp. The town visitors are funny. The animals.. Pretty much everything. I usually have sound on but music off in all games that I play.
