I agree that .5s shouldn't give an advantage. I'm not really sure what the best way to handle them is, though. You could add the level 1 weight of all unbuilt defenses to each townhall level, which is probably the fairest alternative since you don't have to wait for construction of a level 1 defense to finish before using it in war. A true .5 can only hope to 3 star max bases of it's own TH level with any consistency, but can be 3 starred by a max TH of the level below. Once you start adding & upgrading defenses, you start finding yourself matched with THs that are similar to you or actually full THx whatever. Also, as I've said before .5 is a common & natural progression that doesn't require botting, gems or insane amounts of time to achieve. It's really the default route for any semi-serious war clan. I'm fine with the idea that a more extreme .5 with maxed troops & absolutely no defenses or walls added/upgraded sees a war weight increase that makes them count for about the same as a more fully developed defense TH.

The extreme engineered accounts like URaTOWELL have max th11 troops with little to no defense are using their attacks at the very top of the other clan. That type of account is not something many people can come up with, which is why many of us feel like MM needs to be tweaked to reduce the advantage.

They have like 8 attacks on our 2 TH10s. Including a th11 with maxed miner/bowler and maxed queen + warden.
How is this not a huge exploit with all their .5s? I guess its not impossible to win, but almost and only if they totally mess up all their attacks, but that wont happen. Surprise... they have a public warlog and ohhh wonder, they have like 98% destruction 58/59 stars every war and their opponents? Yeah always between 40-80%... I wonder why?
Maybe .5s MM sucks? Or maybe they are the best in the world and every1 they face cant get their ♥♥♥♥ together and attack properly?:facepalm:

A war war either side can, at least potentially get a perfect war is exactly the kind of matchup I like. I don't like it when there are wars where one side clearly has a much better shot at it, but I'll accept that. I have to agree with this. I'm a new TH10 (going from 100% max TH9). Prioritising the upgrading my lab (Valks,Hogs), SF, CC, Army camps over defences, just seemed like the sensible thing to do. I fully intend to drop my defences soon, and fully intend to progress my TH10 base with balance in mind.Quote:
