Clan Rules and Info

I'd like to see a separate tab next to the clan description, for clan rules and info. This tab would appear to clan members only.

The war strat, clan website, clashcaller codes, clan passwords, recruiting info, guidelines for elder and co, and donation requirements could all be listed in here.

Each time the clan "Info" section is altered, and automatic clan mail is sent to clanmates saying "Clan info has been updated." This will ensure that everyone is updated on current events and changes, and it will prevent miscommunication.


There are a few reasons why a "Clan Info" section will help everyone:

- Clan Description can be fun and interesting rather than a list of rules. It can show clan personality.

- More space for writing this important info---current clan description is small! A separate tab will help :)

- War strats won't be public, but all clanmates will know it. Some clans use clash caller, so rather than waste a mail (and 12 hr waiting period) sending code, this "info" section can be updated. General war guidelines can be added without letting your enemy know your strat!

- New clanmates will instantly know the guidelines

- No excuses for not knowing rules

I like it. There should be lots of more options for notes (on player profiles, on the Clan Wars map), but a separate members-only tab for notes is a nice idea.

Bump it up

This is an excellent idea! I'm so tired of typing our war plan and some of our rules over and over again. This would make things a lot easier.

Just looked, sadly this idea is in the ruled out pile currently.

yep all the ideas that are great get ruled out for stupid undisclosed reasons...

Lazy developers... or cheap owners... cheap server storage goals...

I just looked at the ruled-out section but don't see it anywhere. My suggestion could go many different ways:

1. New Clan-Only Info Tab

2. Longer clan description

3. Sticky at top of mail section, that can be changed

4. Sticky in new section next to mail section, with automatic clan mail sent every time it is updated


I don't see any of these ideas ruled out (though I think a longer clan description used to be), but one of them should work. I really think this is needed, especially for new clans, rebuilding clans, clans with visitors or people in and out. Or just so that everyone is on the same page at all times

I couldn't find a way to disagree or to criticize this suggestion. I do also agree with the specialist.
Putting notes and info on player's profile would be a pretty useful and ideal idea for new members as well as the rules of donations/wars/clan/activity/etc.
