I just had a Daily Dirt with 27 indigo ads (over 50%), which brings me to my question - why do so many people sell indigo? Surely it doesn't sell quickly, especially at full price, so it can't be to make coin fast? Nor does it grow quickly nor is it frequently used... I know some people advertise indigo and have other, more interesting stuff in the RSS, but even with that taken into account, there's an awful lot of indigo out there. Why? Am I missing something?
My neighbourhood had a LOT of indigo growing tasks come up in our derby this week, perhaps that could be part of the reason?
Beats me :confused: I have never understood why players don't just sell it to the farm visitors, rather than clog up the DD and their RSS waiting for Tom or Greg to buy it at full price. Same with full price wheat or any other common crop, for that matter.

Like maybe the same quantity of soybeans as indigo are advertised initially in the DD every day. Maybe eve more.:confused: But because soybeans sell so much faster, the soybean ads don't linger, taking over the newspaper.

Simple answer: boat help.
I am doing a boat task, my boat wants some nightmare products, I stick up an indigo to increase my ad coverage and get chances of boat getting done.
Anyone else not looking for help boat got completed or they are just clinically insane lol
A few reasons, as stated by some already.
1) it has such limited use; makes it hard to get rid of.
2) Its a low level derby task which is easy to do.
3) Sold at max it won't sell fast, therefore good for boat help.
I don't make Indigo anymore, just buy any I need from the paper.
How about ... they are beautiful to look at? I use them to decorate my farm. Occasionally, when I just want to have a beautiful hay day moment, I fill my crop fields with indigos. They are beautiful. :)
