No Alternative to Dragons?

I am a th7 and I am bored with using dragons only for wars. So far I've tried
Barch--->Only a one star strategy
Giants with healers--->Healers die out soon cause of 2 air defences
Giants with wizards--->Pretty good 2 star if wizards move inside the base. If I lose them early I can barely get a one star.
Giants/hogs/wizards--->Hogs are extremely unpredictable. Cannot rely on them at all. Also takes up a decent amount of DE.

So is there anything else I can try?
My troops
Level4--->Barbs, Archers, Giants, Heal spell, Lightning spell
Lv3--->Wizards, wall breakers, gobs, baloons
Lv1-->minions, hogs, drags (drags upgrading to level 2)

Why do you want to try anything except an auto 3* button?

Nah,always go for drags:)

you can try Dragon Rider
If your mirror is a new-mid th7 you can use GiWiz, but its not as reliable as mass drags.

Mass Hogs can be a good alternative strategy. Hogs r not that much unpredictable. They just attck the nearest defensive building. Use them in friendly challenge to understand there AI. I don't think many th7 players keep DBG. So heal them at every possible GB spot. And don't forget to lure kill cc first.

Thanks guys, I'll definitely try mass Hogs after I am done with my king (he's upgrading to level 4 at the moment). @CrazeeNub yep Giant wizard is pretty good but dragons seem to be the only way for town hall 7s to punch above our weight.

Comment about dragon, their speed is to slow, same as wizzard (under 20 cmiiw) , that is so unlogic what the dragon flying same as wizzard walk.... T..T
And the other side, air defenses fire that is so hard (about 200 damage of ffire). ..most hardest in all defense buildings..

My strategy, deploy 5 giant with healer to hold archer tower, after they have destroy and then deploy dragon or hog to attack air def building..
Dont forget, poison spell for enemy unit, and healing spell for hogs or dragons or healers...
And tell me if that is works or more easy or not....

Dragons may be slow but they r flying unit and have large health as compared to wizards. Instead of deploying giants + healer, it's better to send 10 dragons with max cc balloons. Dragons will tank cc balloons while balloons will destroy defences.
And th7 don't have access to dark spells. And it's best to use 3 lighting to take out 1 air defence or to use 3 rage on dragons. I don't think heal spell is that much effective on dragons.

Drags are honestly the best way to go but some alternatives include:

Mass Hogs w/ Wiz
Dragon Rider
I use both at TH8 and used them at TH7

Upgrade to town hall 8 then, why stay a town hall if your bored of it.
