An update that will allow you too funnel wall breakers.. if the first layer is already broken through they shouldn't go to the same wall and blow an un-needed whole in it. Move to the next layer.

Pretty much every possible wallbreaker AI has been tried, including the ability for them to smash into walls directly in front of them. Every time there has been a wallbreaker change, it upsets the people who have learned to use the previous AI. Many players would be upset if their wallbreakers headed deeper into the base to be quickly picked off by defenses instead of hitting occupied outer compartments. And still other players would be upset to see a new tactic that rips apart a direct line to their core for the low cost of at most 8-unit spaces per magma wall and maybe a golem. IMO, the best solution is to leave the AI as it stands and learn to use it to your advantage while learning other options. Earthquake and jump spells will allow you to create direct line-of-sight paths to where you want your troops to go.
How about a new way to deploy wallbreakerz where you can select wallbreakerz then tap on which walls you want them to attack. It would still involve skill and timing. This should only be allowed for wallbreaker
Wall breakers already go after the nearest wall. The main factor is whether or not a building is behind that wall you want them to go after. If there is no building, like ranged troops already destroyed it, then they go to the next nearest wall that has a building behind it.
Just because you can see a building on the other side of a wall doesn't mean the wall breaker AI will go towards it. Your interpretation of "behind the wall" could be different than what the game AI does. If a building is 1, 2, or maybe 3 tiles behind the wall, the game AI doesn't register it as a wall that has a building behind it. Some players actually build their bases because of this concept.
Lastly, I think this isn't a good idea because, as the other guy said, the wall breakers will end up walking in range of other defenses that aren't shooting at anything and end up getting killed. There's always going to be an xbow or cannon or wizard tower that is too far away from your ground troops that will shoot your wall breakers.
