Frogs!!

Can someone give me some insight on frogs? So, I have read posts that instruct me to tap on a pond and then quickly put it away. For me, the most frogs that jump out ends up being around 15. Then after I put the pond away, about 30 seconds later they jump into a pond that is no longer there but somehow has splashing water. My neighbor has an open area that has about 50 or more frogs bunched together. She says that they just gathered there on their own,never tapping them out of a pond. I have visited farms that I would swear have hundreds of frogs. I have a lot of ponds on my farm, but sadly no frogs. Most of my ponds won't produce a frog when I tap on them. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this problem? Please help me with my "frog envy" :(

I wish I knew. My baby farm has one of those frog spots with about 50 frogs. They never seem to go away and they just appeared out of the blue - I don't have a pond or anything. I think they were there pretty much from the start.

My main farm has two ponds and while the tapping thing works some of the time, they disappear quickly when you stop tapping. I just tapped out about 20 frogs and within a couple of minutes, they were gone - back into the pond or just disappeared into thin air.

I know! I got rid of my ponds and the frogs were still jumping in imaginary water! The fish, when they have their jumping fest, jump on top of the boat, and they show the water splashes and ripples. It's weird but interesting. That's Hay Day!

I do WISH for them to make the pets stop going right through obstacles (hedges, fences, walls, machines, animal pens, and all that). Even the foxes to straight through he obstacles! They've gone through my wall!!!!!!! I know this is Hay Day, but this is where I cut the line, so to speak. Please, please, PLEASE make the pets and other animals stop walking right through stuff...permanently!

I moved the pasta maker. The dogs and cats kept walking thru it. Disgusting!
I don't get many frogs but my grandson does. In droves. They stay at his place with the help,of a bit of the green hedge fencing. We put a pond out and tapped. Then quickly moved the pond back in storage, the frogs stayed.

I personally hate the frogs! I get rid of them by putting out a pond and letting them jump in. I move it closer to them until they are all in and then store the pond.

That being said, from my personal observations, I believe they need a clear path from the river to invade your farm. If you have stuff all along the river bed, they cannot move onshore.

I make a box out of hedges big enough to fit the pond inside. Take the pond out, tap on it to release the frogs then put the pond back in the box. Works for me. Repeat as many times as you want.

The frogs hop out of the river and migrate toward whatever ponds you have placed or are still un-shoveled on your farm. Items spaced too close together will block them and make them pile up. I didn't want to wall off my river, so I put a couple small ponds near it, and they just go there. I see a few on the riverbank from time to time, which is as it should be. HTH! :)

They annoy me a bit if they're hopping all over the farm, so we came to an agreement - if they stayed in the raspberries & on the fence post at the corner of the cows pen, they could stay. Otherwise I'd evict them! They've been really good & mostly stuck to our deal. Occasionally I get one pushing its luck, but I have a word & off they go.

I tried this the other day. Even with the pond in storage, they simply jumped into the ground and disappeared as if there was a pond there. :( I also tried it minus the fence to see if they would just spread all over the farm and stick around, but nope... into the ground they went.

Maybe some farms are just froggy and others aren't? It's starting to look like that to me.
