Team Hay Day did a short maintenance about 7 hours ago so I hope everyone still gets the movie tickets. Fingers crossed. :)

EDIT: This Android user didn't get diamonds.
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...rs-for-diamond
Day 4 after small diamond purchase....still getting the ticket. It showed up at the same time as yesterday, 12:00 pm PST(about 2 minutes ago). Today's goodies: a blue voucher and a dynamite.
Yup! Nails and a pickaxe here!
Theory 1------ it's research to see revenue protential to extend trailers to all players (quite likely)
Theory 2------it's a new bot catching tactic by the psychic Octopus (possible but not very likely)
Theory 3------ it's to stop us lot moaning about loosing movie tickets ( pretty unlikely)
theory 4------SC have come over all generous for no reason ( the pigs are flying over my farm)
U can throw theory 4 out the window.
Theory 5----it's a bug that is masquerading as a planned feature. They can't get rid of it (backlash) so they mind as well let it be.
Nick hasn't once confirmed anything "visibly" yet. Still don't understand the lack of transparency.
Ditto theory #5. I get the same "prizes" every day. Jam and an axe. I'm not complaining.
Theory 5 also likely, the fact all of us see movies again; whether intended by SuperCell or not will cause quite an outrage if they were to disappear again.
Theory 1 in the above post however would also carry some weight, seeing the potential extra revenue that can be obtained from all of us that have been locked out of movies.
I'm speculating Team Hay Day was trying to restore the status quo of haves versus have nots in the last two maintenance breaks, but the coders weren't successful so lettuce enjoy the beneficial bug.
I wonder if the Mod Squad reading this thread are nodding their heads or shaking their heads. It's a pity they can't confirm or deny the existence of the best beneficial bug ever because of the NDA. :)
EDIT: As Nick wrote recently, the "...moderators are in contact with the game teams everyday, thus they know almost all our moves and their incredibly valuable feedback is getting heard..."

To be clear, I am not interested in theories. Those are fun but I have enough experience with situation where people interpret the same words differently.
Even as forumer, movie ticket is not my favorite feature. I understand players love them. But until there is anything concret to announce and help player, I will neither confirm nor decline any of the theories.
- meonhoc
Oh you guys!! XD There's no conspiracy or anything like that with the tickets. It's not a bug or a glitch either. Just enjoy them tickets and rewards.
Cheers,
Nick
OK, I'm switching the editor to Source Mode to confirm that you're not using invisible ink to conceal cryptic sentences like you did in post #54 of this thread. :)
I don't think this thread was heading in the direction of a conspiracy but there is a mystery afoot. If this current phenomenon isn't classified as a bug or glitch, let's call it a serendipity or a pleasant surprise.
I have been getting movie tickets since I started playing in 2014 and was sad when I learned that I was part of a lucky few to get them. Now even the farmers who bought diamonds are getting the movie tickets so there is no more disparity between the haves and have-nots. "Oh joy, oh rapture unforeseen. The clouded sky is now serene..." Cheers to Gilbert and Sullivan.
Kiitos serendipity or whoever made it possible for everyone to enjoy the movie tickets. :)
We'll surely you Nick can understand players looking at everything $uoercell does now with a squint. Even that should be obvious. Still not believing it's not a glitch. But hey, that's your story and you're sticking to it. I will continue to collect my one axe and one Apple jam per day and happily go on my way.
I agree Besta.....it is definitely not playing correct even if they wanted us all to now have the movie tickets. It asks you to watch trailer then say oooooops there is no trailer???????? I'm enjoying the extra rewards so no complaint here about that. I'm just puzzled as to why the trailers aren't playing when it gives the impression they should be. It's like a half finished update and it will either change or disappear altogether.
Let's be honest, this game isn't exactly bug and glitch free. There are numerous unintended good bugs that shows up and then goes away after it's been discovered by SC. A hot topic of complaint since the initial launch of this game, such as the movie ticket, suddenly showing up after all these years without a peep out of SC and with no explanation? Can't blame us for being apprehensive and speculative. U have yet to give us any answers, perhaps u guys are scratching ur heads too, at headquarters? Conspiracies and theories arise when we are left to answer our own questions. Here's ur chance to squash those theories.
The movie ticket I used to get, before buying diamonds, gave a diamond or two as the gift. No diamonds with these supposed movie tickets. They are not replacing the movie tickets we have been complaining about. Those ALWAYS gave diamonds.
Haystacker,
I don't think we can expect Nick to say yes or no to the five theories posted by us. To be frank, if I were Nick standing at the podium, I will say "No comment" to these theories.
I'm resisting the temptation to discuss the above fascinating theories in detail because I don't want to derail the original intent of the thread which is to track if players are still getting the movie tickets.
In the meantime, we already have Supercell's position on the theories as written by Mod meonhoc:
"...But until there is anything concret to announce and help player, I will neither confirm nor decline any of the theories."
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...=1#post8204134
And then Nick posted.
Go with Nick's post, LynnK.
But we CAN expect him to explain. Why not? If this feature was meant to be, why the secrecy and reluctance to explain further. My guess is, he's dumbfounded as we are. Can't give us an answer when the team has no answers themselves..."just enjoy".
Ur not derailing anything Lynn, neither am I. Anything related to the movie tickets is relevant to this thread.
The mod's uninterested stance to theories is her opinion. I'm fascinated by theories, especially when some of them might be true.
I stand corrected. Thank you meonhoc.
The following is speculation on my part. Nick won't respond to Theory #1 because Supercell doesn't want to alert its competitors that Team Hay Day is testing a new revenue stream on more of its players.
Nick won't respond to Theory #2 because Team Hay Day doesn't want to alert cheaters who use third-party apps to modify HD game files that a new version of the Psychic Octopus has been injected into the game.
Can't we just be happy XD
Day 5 after small diamond purchase....ticket showed up around the same time as the past two days...same oops messages, same types of gifts.
Just accept it. 4 options:
1: it will stay as is
2: it will go away
3: movies will be shown and maybe 2-4 films/items
4: Some other option but it will stay.
We can't help but to question it; for the longest time we have known all to well that buying Diamonds = lost movies.
I don't think anything officially says that anywhere; but all of us that have been here for a while know that is very much the case.
To see movies again, in a semi broken fashion; well we just can't help but to wonder.
Regards though, I'm very glad to see them again. The previous system where buying Diamonds removed the movie feature is indeed a strange one. You should be looking to maximize revenue as much as you can; while we players want to maximize our returns in game as much as possible too!
I enjoy these movies tickets and it's rewards but it still won't make me buy diamonds again until I get those movie tickets with diamonds rewards back. Removing these rewards as punishment because I bought one time diamonds was just a big mistake of supercell. I would have spent much more money if these diamonds rewards would just continue after i buy diamonds. Now it stayed with that one and only purchase 3 years ago.
I have already said it all - the movie tickets as they are now is not a bug or a glitch. There's no real explanation to this, but if you are looking for something "more in depth" read my reply below.
Oh those theories.. But if I would have to choose, I would lean towards speculation #4. That should also cover "why" (i.e. an explanation).
Let's stop beating a dead horse here - tickets are now available, so enjoy them and stop speculating. I will reiterate myself (again), it is not a bug or a glitch. Over and out. There are more pressing issues and stuff which needs attention.
Cheers,
Nick
So I can buy diamonds now and I absolutely, positively won't lose them?
Hey, has this question sparkled in this thread yet?
Are any players still receiving diamonds from the movie tickets?
Either original-ticket-recipients or the newfangled group of screeners?
I stopped getting diamonds since i bought diamonds ...
As a member of the Originals specifically the ones who didn't buy diamonds, I still get 1 diamond and 3 prizes from watching 4 commercials daily. This hasn't change after the current phenomenon which I have described as The Serendipity.
What changed is that I get the movie tickets at night instead of late afternoons.
Day 6 after small diamond purchase...still getting the opps message and two gifts.
Thanks for the answer, Bestajunior. So, do you mean that both you and your friend receive diamonds as gifts sometimes for tapping the movie tickets? I'm not sure whether my question got communicated clearly.
Oh :( So you were one of The Originals (™ LynnK) that would receive diamonds for watching movies sometimes? But now you're part of the new batch of ticket-receivers, and you haven't received diamonds yet (if ever)?
The Serendipity! XD i LOLed in real life. That's cool that you get diamonds, Lynn. Thanks for the detailed response.
Hi d2. It felt like I hadn't seen you post in a while. You were missed! Nice to run into one of your posts.
I haven't had diamonds yet either, two gifts daily .
Aw, thanks LTMP! I am not sitting in front of a comupter all day anymore, so have been doing other things. My main posting time was while I was at work XD
Day 7 after small diamond purchase, still receiving a ticket for two oops messages and gifts.

Not any diamonds on my farm however my friend gets them occasionally. I get Apple jam and an axe every day. Friend gets an assortment of items including once a birdhouse.
Today I got different prizes. A saw and a stake. Saw was used right away. Stake was sold. Nice to have a change but I miss the jam. LoL
Yeah I got them too. Had them once when I first started 2 and a half years ago then nothing till now. Been having them every day for about 2 weeks. Thought it was down to buying diamonds for the well overworked Tom. Hope it continues too x
It seems that we all get movie tickets if we haven't prior but no diamonds! Oh come on hay day. Be fair, we deserve diamonds
I'd say the jury is still out. We don't have data to say if whatever they are doing is being done fairly with everyone. It is disappointing so far for me with no movies, no diamonds. I suspect this is very common place. For anyone who gets a movie, do you always get a diamond?
With the exception of a 3 month period (2 years ago), I have been getting the movie tickets daily. I get 4 trailers and at least 1, sometimes 2 diamonds and I have received 3 diamonds at least once. But otherwise, I am rewarded 4 times.
Some trailers are crashing though... it can be hard work watching them!
Today I received: diamond, map, gold voucher, red brick
I don't receive daily but a few times a week. On days I do, they do not show up in batches of 4 but spread over a few hours.
The first one is always a diamond.
have you bought diamonds before?
Movies never work for me but I've received a few axes!
Been receiving the movie ticket every day now since they reappeared a couple of weeks back - never had diamonds but had gold tickets
Sorry to bump this post, I hope it's not too old. I have, like many others, never received movie tickets before until recently as I have always bought diamonds early on in my HD games (I have 3 farms total now). I never considered such a thing would have an "adverse" effect, and that still baffles me as why would a developer/publisher ever want to "punish" a player for supporting their game by investing in it? It's just totally contrary to the way other developers/publishers (I'm aware of, and I have played my share of mobile games on iOS at least) design their games. Many offer additional incentives to the purchase of "premium currency" which is generally referred to as "gems" and "gemming" in many game communities, but I'm not here to discuss the pros and cons of that as its a personal choice and some people simply don't have the means to buy gems for video games etc (and some don't find it worth it, which goes back to the personal choice part). I agree with many others in that decor packages should be presented at a discount; after all, that's how I've seen most games operate, at least initially upon reveal there's usually a discount period than perhaps the items are only available at full price idk (like perhaps the first 3 days for a discount, if they're up for a week, or discounted for a week if up for longer periods). I would agree it would get old and probably offer diminishing returns over time if SC had some limited decor up all the time and I have quit many games that are constantly hawking items and running events which leave the community and it's players exhausted and feeling milked of their money. So I would not recommend these special items be offered more than they seem to be.
My first question has actually been answered, thanks to many here in the community. It seems clear that diamond purchases do NOT (as of this time) remove these new tickets from your game. I have bought only the "pop-up diamond offerings" that come at a "slight" discount lol, but can confirm these purchases have not (so far) removed these new tickets from my games.
So my question is this: Has anyone bought any of the new diamond decor packages, and kept their new movie tickets? That's all I'm looking for, is confirmation the tickets remain. I looked but it wasn't clear if someone did indeed answer this, it's late and perhaps I missed it. If it is here, just post the quote and that'll be fine. :) I don't recall seeing much of interest, but it would be good to know going forward all the same. Thanks to any who read and reply! Happy HayDay'ing and enjoying our movie-less movie tickets I know they are a big help especially on my smaller farms :)
I bought one of the new diamond decor packages and still got a movie ticket today.
I saw that you must have bought some diamonds. Your trees look awesome! :)
Thank you :)
Now I've got to figure out something to spend the diamonds on. Usually by this time of year I am getting low on the once a year 4000 diamonds / $70 I buy ($6 a month has never seemed excessive to me to play a game), but this year I have tons left. And it isn't like I didn't splurge on a bunch of stuff either: sped up the new machines we got, had grandkids who decided to buy all the remaining slots on the lure and net maker , called in boats a lot, etc.
Are people really content with these movie tix not giving out diamonds? I thought that was the whole point of these movie tix? To earn diamonds by watching trailers? Not exactly the same is it?
nope it isn't, but for those who never saw them in the first place something is better than nothing, even if it is 99% useless. And heck the thing is clearly busted anyways because there never is a movie to watch. Something that should be providing supercell with revenue through advertising, which they can then share with players by rewarding them with diamonds, is just really nothing more than a delayed bonus gift of two items. They might as well have just made the WoF three free spins a day...
Exactly. I'm one of those who decided to purchase diamonds very early on in this game so I never even knew what the movie tix looked like until a few months ago. Getting 2 freebies is ok I guess, but I can find them easily in the DD on any given day. What's missing are diamonds. Why aren't the trailers playing? Why aren't we getting diamonds? Is it purposely designed this way? Is it a glitch? Still a bunch of unanswered questions.
Of course I'd prefer diamonds ;) I'd like the original movie tickets back - more prizes & often they're diamonds. However, SC knows it's hugely unfair (lord knows we have told them often enough!!) but they choose not to make it fair, there's very little I can do about it...so I click on the tickets, get a couple of extra bits & don't really think about it beyond that anymore.
I'm quite happy that the trailers don't play - it's much faster this way! But I'd trade that for diamonds, obviously ;).
I would trade it for diamonds, but I would hate having to watch the trailer. Way back in the day I was fortunate enough to have working tickets with trailers and diamonds, but the trailers were a complete waste. Often badly done, never relevant to me, succeeding only in making me cheep and sleazy for watching them just for a diamond.
Sure I would prefer a diamond over most of the daily rewards, but with no trailer at least I don't feel cheep and sleazy. The movie ticket mechanism is pretty stupid, though, seeing as how there is never a trailer. It would make more sense and be more fun to just have the postman drop a couple packages along with the daily mail.
Glad I'm not the only one :)
When I think of movie tickets, I think of trailers I can watch to earn diamonds. As it stands now, the new movie tix without the diamonds, is just a glorified version of the WoF...without the crops. Nothing special.
I wouldn't feel cheap and sleazy at all. Give me a chance to get a diamond by watching trailers and I'll completely ignore the ad and happily collect my diamond after 30 seconds. I'd be diamond rich after all these years, nothing cheap and sleazy about that...:)
Who actually pays attention to those ads anyways?
:pI'll have to admit I used to feel like this in some other games, but then realized there were some very decent looking games showing. In fact I discovered two games that way.. which I probably play more now than Hay Day. Pretty sad considering Hay Day was at one point one of two games I had installed.
As for the postman delivering the items, would this be then considered "junk mail"?:p
Thanks, this answers my question :)Quote:

As I mentioned in my lengthy post, I purchased diamonds almost immediately when I started my farms, so I'm not one of those lucky individuals who received the original movie tickets. But your point is valid and duly noted, or at least it should be by those who fall into the category of those still lucky enough to be receiving those original movie tickets still! It pays to be cautious especially if you value this feature.Quote:

The NEW movie tickets seem to stay if you buy diamonds, but that doesn't mean the OLD style ones do now.
I would like to add my own highly unsolicited opinion, basically my 2cents, on the matter of the new movie tickets. IMHO I can't understand the sense of entitlement some players have when they complain these new tickets don't produce dismonds like the original movie tickets did (and apparently still do for those lucky enough to still have them). I totally agree it was wrong in the first place for SC to remove the ticket offerings from players who purchased diamonds, and especially without any warning whatsoever. After all, we were just trying to support the game while speeding some things up, or in my case, helping to finish out an expansion or the like. I totally agree it was incredibly unfair that SC took them away to begin with, whether intentional or not, it certainly came across as a sort of "punishment" for actually supporting their game and as I mentioned before that's the last thing a developer/publisher should want to convey to a player or community (being greedy and unappreciative). However, the sense of entitlement does sometimes just amaze me, on the part of some players. I realize it's only a part of the community, but it can be a very vocal part. I'm not a member of FaceBook and I doubt I ever will be as they don't offer any services I need (most of my family is older and technologically-challenged lol, it was difficult enough to get them to use text messaging lol!). I also don't need the additional clutter and data mining in my life: there's plenty of that I'm sure already and I don't want to keep track of yet one more thing. I don't hold anything against those who use it, that would be silly. I do think FaceBook is in some ways bad for mobile gaming, because I have faced many instances where mobile game developers and publishers will offer special deals and even game items etc that ONLY FB users can access (some are limited items, contests that award premium currency, and special achievements which in turn give players premium in-game currency and other materials etc). That is discrimination against non-FB users, and there is just NO place for such behavior in the mobile gaming community. I've run into mobile games where their only site was their FB site; they didn't maintain a website for the community that was inclusive of those who didn't use FB, and that's just absolutely alienating and assigns greater value to the FB community which of course won't last forever. Sorry to digress and rant a bit, but it's just extremely annoying to see and I'm glad that to the best of my knowledge SC doesn't engage in such shady behaviors (although I think all responses about maintenance breaks should occur here, and not on FB so that it's as inclusive as possible). The only other solution I can envision would be a "limited in scope" FB account just for gamers, which would not include FB services, and required only a verified email but not require full identity information (so you could keep your personal info to yourself). I highly doubt FB would ever agree to such an account. After all, they are in business to make money off you by knowing all about you and mining your data, serving ads and such. Enough about that, end of rant.
The reason I do mention FB at all is its one of the places I see so much whining about diamonds and this "entitlement" thing. All games especially ones like HD require maintenance on a regular basis to keep running fairly smoothly. In fact I've been reasonably impressed the game runs as well as it does especially considering how long it goes in between updates (a lot of games are updated much more frequently, honestly idk how SC gets away with such infrequent updates). The most common complaints I see, and >95% are complaints, are the following:
(1) omg why did you have to do maintenance now?
(2) Hurry up! I just bought a Tom! -or- I was just in the middle of, or about to, use Tom!
(3) Thanks, now my boat is going to leave/derby task is going to expire/nh will lose the derby, etc
(4) You'd better give us some diamonds for this maintenance. Always so much maintenance! Why?
(5) We deserve diamond at least 5-10 maybe 20 for this interruption.
Rarely is there a comment from a sane person who actually thanks SC for trying to make the game better or at least more stable, etc. Maybe people should realize maintenance is also a time for hotfixes. No one tends to complain so much when their smartphone etc needs hotfixes to plug security holes, patch things, and fix bugs. The way people act, it seems they really do believe SC just enjoys taking the game offline, seriously. It's really not that. I'm no computer expert or programmer, but I do know that just because I don't notice anything different doesn't mean they didn't fix some critical bugs etc. I'm sure they are also constantly tweaking things to combat bot farms. I see at least one in every DD I open, so I know they are a significant problem. I wish there was a "report button" so I could easily bring these to SC attention but I've looked everywhere for one and can't find anything to report a farm. You should be able to report a farm and say what it's for (bot, raiding RSS, inappropriate name or theming on farm, etc) the important thing is to have a few options. In response to the above complaints I would say:
Maintenance is necessary (Nick has addressed many of these already) and they tend to do them during derby pause to cause the least inconvenience. If there happens to be one during derby, I figure it must be an urgent matter and I give them the benefit of the doubt. Tom and boats and derby are on pause etc so players need to chill. I don't know of any game that gives players premium currency for basic maintenance so begging for diamonds each and every time is really pathetic. There are many ways to get diamonds in the game without buying them, and this is also why I don't believe people who now are receiving the new movie tickets should look a gift horse in the mouth and complain they don't get diamonds from those either. And no, it's not the same thing as adding on a few spins to the WoF.
The WoF may have a bunch of good to great items but it can also have some junk on it. Also, the special decor doesn't change often enough, and some of it IMHO is fairly boring and useless (3 colors of wood tiles? Really? Ok some decking materials maybe but it's gone on too long, thought I really do love the flowers except it seems wood tiles show up more than flowers). But WoF can net you a single ear of corn (yeah, just one, not even a 3-piece) or wheat, which is pretty bad. I think there should be some minimum cut off for your level, a minimum value in essence, so no one gets shafted by a lousy spin. I'm not sure crops belong on there at all, as they're generally the easiest to get (maybe fruits and such are an exception) but also your basic foods like bread and eggs, yeah not the best prizes but they're free. So far I've gotten better things from the movie tickets even if they aren't diamonds I really can't complain and find a hard time understanding why some others feel so entitled to to get diamonds from this reinstated feature. Just be glad it's back. I totally agree SC should never have removed the tickets in the first place, but come on, that happened years ago for many. It's a step in the right direction, no one forced SC to reinstate the feature, we can't be sure why it was ever removed it "could" have been an embarrassing mistake (but after it had occurred they realized oh well it saves them doling out free gems, but I doubt we will ever know the truth behind what happened with the original tickets). Whatever the case may be, just be thankful for what we now have, and let's all move forward, at least that's my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own of course and I hope I don't make anyone angry as I respect everyone's right to their own opinion. In my experience continuing to hold a grudge, to be salty about it, is generally unhealthy and unhelpful for the individual and the community as a whole. Enjoy your tickets and prizes, no matter which ones you have (the original version or the new reinstated ones). Thanks for being patient and reading my long post :)
I do and that's how I discovered some games which I downloaded to try out and deleted a few months later because they weren't entertaining as Supercell games.
The only one left on my device is a clone of Clash of Clans. Given the fact that the clone is developed and published by an entertainment empire, I expect it to be as good or better than CoC but it's not.
Thank goodness Supercell is focused on just making mobile games and not running amusement parks and making movies.

I feel your pain, and we all need to rant on occasion. I turned here, to the forums to get more info, share info, etc.
If anyone has a genuine concern, Facebook is not the place to do it. We have the forums and in-game settings for that.
It is same old, same old, whatever the post.
"How is your hood doing in the derby?"
"Maintenance again?!?! Better have a bucket of diamonds for me... I just hired Tom, was about to send off a boat for my last task, and had one last truck for event. And to top everything else, my cows have mastitis from not being milked! Fix it!"
I'll give one cent as a reply to the entitlement, seeing as the two cents is about $10 worth in length. Nearly every other game has some kind of diamond for movie trailer watching. Everyone sees them. Not just a few random players who ALWAYS see them. The entitlement remark is kind of an insult considering those who PAID to keep the game going and thus Supercell in business were the ones who got adversely selected against and never got freebies. The whole business plan there just flies against common business practices of rewarding your best customers. It isn't that I ever expected them, but to never give them just because I PAID real money is ridiculous. And to call that a sense of entitlement is right up there too. That would be like me calling those who never bought diamonds a bunch of freeloaders.
I'm sure u do, Lynn...I'm sure u do. Just out of curiosity, how many thousands of trailers have u watched? Been saving up on those diamonds? I just wanna have a chance to watch one. Only one :)
DV...Halloween event coming *hint hint*. U should check out how a top notch developer do things.
Well said!
Those who never spent a cent on this game continue to reap the rewards, while those of us who supported this company from the get-go was just recently introduced to a wannabe movie ticket without diamonds. Sounds fair to me. That's some Spock-like logic right there...
I guesstimate that I have received over one thousand diamonds from watching trailers since June 2014. But I don't hoard them because I currently have 300 after using them to hireTom, open production slots, and buy whimsical decorations which strike my fancy.
BTW, I saw an ad for the dragon game highly recommended by you. No, I didn't see it in a trailer from Hay Day but in a HD clone. The ad is memorable because it showed the developers talking about their creation and the game looks beautiful, IMO.
Indeed, Team Hay Day has created haves and have-nots by offering free diamonds to a few players and not expanding the program to more players until the recent Serendipity.
i get a commercial of " domino's pizza" that's two minutes long, and then my game reloads and i don't get anything, when i retry i get the same commercial ( it's a dutch commercial)
I used to get diamonds everyday and the trailers used to work but now the trailers don't work and I get no diamonds lol
I have a question about this.
Does anyone know, if we buy one or two rounds of diamonds, if it has been changed so that we will still see the movie trailers?
I have had the movie trailers since I started playing. I get maybe one diamond a day and some tools or odds and ends.
The movie tickets used to stop if you bought diamonds, but has that now changed?
I really want the new decor for the sanctuary, which is why I am asking. I have not bought diamonds yet. Thank you. :)
my understanding is that if you *ever* buy diamonds, the diamond movie trailers stop.
i don't think i've ever actually got them, i bought diamonds early (i play clash, i was well trained)
i get the 'new' movie tickets, which are only ever tools, EM, etc. i don't get the 'reasonable' or 'cheap' diamond offers, either, for the same fact that i have bought diamonds before.
My understanding from what I've read on this forum and experienced myself is the same as shadyacre, once you buy - that's it.
Before buying you can watch up to 4 movies per day, where 1 is guaranteed to be a diamond, there is a chance another will be as well.
After buying you can click on up to 2 movie tickets per day, with these ones you don't have to watch a video; just get 2 rewards instantly - however never a diamond.
I also thought this was the case, for the longest time after having purchased in the past, I never got another 'cheap' offer.Quote:

About 1 year later on my wifes old account, I was suddenly offered another super cheap $1.49 package. Naturally I swooped on it.
But I do stress it was about a year between purchases on that account, it's a very long time to wait to get another cheap package. Whether that was by design or a bug I cannot be certain.
Okay thank you so much, shadyacre and daz! :)
Tough decision, then. I like the elephant, rhino and baboon statues but to give up the diamond movie tickets for them ... I have to think about it. Thanks for the information! :)
if i still / ever had the diamond movie tickets i probably would have chosen to keep them.
but i am also not always very patient, so i love having tom around to fetch me goods to fill my orders.
if you want to live the free part of game do not buy anything and keep accruing diamonds from movies.
but i have the rhino topiary in my sanctuary lol. i will never get free or cheap diamonds ever again. it's a trade-off. i am impatient. ;)
Maybe I'm the only one who don't like movie tickets in game. I had bad expirience with adds im games. I got some malicious adds and that cost me a lot of internet data.
I am grateful to all who pay for the packages in the game, but you are not the only ones who keep the game alive. Supercell earn money for watching movies tickets (adds) too.
For the record, I like our daily ticket. I get expansion materials or ice cream or something good at least! It isn't a terrible trade off, since I get plenty of diamonds elsewhere in the game. (I rarely buy diamonds, although I did splurge on the statues, HD has done plenty for me, there deserve my $15. Plus I opened up the last slot on my net maker!).
I'm a reader not a talker around here but had to ask.....are y'all talking about the little pink movie ticket by the mailbox? If so, I've been getting one daily for close to a year now. No video. Just two prizes. It usually comes around the same time as the evening truck and mail. I thought everyone got this. My husband plays too and he still has to watch a video to get just one prize. Strange.
