One Ring - A TH7 Farming Base Design (Peaked #1 on CoC Builder)

In my opinion the best TH7 base layout. Used it all during my TH7 and have to say goodbye as my TH finishes in one day. Never been three starred and never lost more than one gold storage. Truly fantastic layout.

ummm... I 3-starred this base using lvl 5 barch. 8 WB, 104 archers, 80 barbs, 1 heal spell; all lvl 5. 2 mortars were lvl 4 one was lvl 5, slightly modified, but other than that, all defenses were maxed, except walls were lvl 6, teslas lvl 1. but I guess its a good TH7 base, but not good base overall (obviously)

Of course TH8s can three star TH7s.

Hey Phil, I slightly modified your ring th7 base to a ring th8 base.
Do you mind if I share it? I was also attacked by lv6 giants/healers and Archer Queen and they just 2 stared it. Even though I am on an early stage.

I would love to see it:P

It's a really good base, I'm using it right now, but a major flaw is that the BARB KING is at the OUTSIDE.
Shouldn't it be in the middle?

At TH7 the only thing the BK does inside the walls is take up space.


THe base is really nice. But if I had to use it, I'd put the CC and DE storage together. No point in separating them. Separate on the other hand the mortar from the WT and place the DE storage in the middle of the splash defenses. Space apart the ATs and the WTs to fit spring traps. 4 defenses in a compartment calls for spring traps. No need for cushion on the AD, since 4 wbs can get to it with or without cushion.

Not a bad base with cool TLODR references...
except for " perhaps due to good AD placement" If you have 2 air def lower than level 6, it doesnt matter how you place them against mass dragon.

This is a very well thought TH7 base. I very like the AD's placement. I will be testing the original layout this week, and If you will allow me, I'll change the placement of buildings to fit my needs. Thanks for the good base ;)

I am somewhere around halfway through TH7 and I can tell you that I have come across this base three or four times,and in all those times I have at least two starred the base.My friend came up with what I think is a better TH7 farming base but all in all this base looks very effective:)

What's the consensus on having external buildings hug walls within range of as many defenses as possible vs spacing them out for better / further perimeter?

Wanted to check this out but photobucket wasn't loading the pics. Thought it was because I was on my iPad so now I'm on my computer and they still aren't showing up...?? What am I missing??

Luckily I took a picture of this base before I changed mine for clan wars. I'm using a different base now that is easily swappable for farming and trophy pushing/clan wars ready.

Actually yes. But I'd rather use it when you're done with either gold or elixir upgrades because one resource isn't defended as good as the other one (which has its own compartment).

After months of play-testing, rearranging, and editing, I can finally say that I've made a legit farming layout for TH7. Much like the One Ring, this layout is impervious to damage! The name of the design was chosen as the outer walls resemble a ring. In addition, similarly to the One Ring, this halo is full of tricks. Hidden traps protect important buildings and a tight design makes those who underestimate it to always end up getting shredded by the powerful forces that lurk inside the ring.

If you look at the base you'll notice that funneling is nowhere to be found. The reason is I found that there are not enough walls at TH7 for a proper funnel, as the funnel will tend to lead towards the core, no matter how you structure it or in the worst case it will make you have less compartments surrounding storages and important defenses

BAM (Barbarian, Archer, Minion) & BAG (Barbarian, Archer, Goblin)

The number 1 deterrent to BAM and BAG strategies is activeness by the means of empty mines and collectors as these armies main goal is to loot filled collectors from abandoned bases. All the collectors are covered by air targeting defenses to avoid the infamous 1 minion leech. Furthermore BAM armies seek to destroy the ADs and then deploy minions as clean up crew, well covered ADs and a flying bomb beneath the gold is my insurance policy against such ploys.

GAH (Giant, Archer, Healer)

Their first priority is to take down the AD an then make you yell GAH! out of frustration when you see it in the replay. On a serious note to break to both ADs compartments you need 12 Wall Breakers minimum. No funnels do make me Giant weak, nevertheless I compensate by having close point defenses and Spring Traps in the way to Mortars.

Maxed and semi-centralized AD do wonders against the hatchlings of Smaug. I honestly have never been attacked by such armies (even in Gold 1,) perhaps due to good AD placement and the fact these armies are expensive.

Loot stolen is steep due to boosted collector week :p

In conclusion, this is the best setup I have built for TH7, especially considering the amount of time and lack of walls it took me to create it. I urge you all to use it for yourself and see which arrangement work the best for you. I am finished with funnels for this level. I've proved funnels are not necessary for a competitive 7 base, if not to others, then I've have at least proved it to myself.

I've been using this base for a while and I've never been 3 star'do. Although I've changed it a little, it's essentially the same. Thanks Phil, this base has been the best of the TH7 designs on here.

I found this in the internet. I'm not sure if its original tho.
Its called the diamond and seems to be very similar to the ring.
It did a good job for me for a long time till i started building my bases on myself.

It's still a great base. The only thing outdated about this design is the Air Sweeper.
