I am wondering if the top players are cheating somehow. The amount of gems it would take to already have 2 level 30 heros, multiple upgraded crossbows and all your walls upgraded would be thousands of dollars worth of gems. Are people really spending this type of money on a game or are they just cheats and if so why are Supercell letting them get away with it?
no they are not cheating
Yeah they're using the gems glitch...you know the one where you select a gems bundle, put in your itunes password and the gems magically appear on your profile.
Keep it quiet though because not everyone seems to know how to do it :D

Yes they are cheating ! Super Cell is just too scared to admit their game has defects! They don't want people to know because a lot of players would quit, its a scam and yeah the players with all the updates are as honest as Lance Armstrong! It makes the whole game stink! Please Super Cell get rid of these hackers !
There was one player "yusufkaymak" who had all the upgrades within hours of the update.
Walls at 10, heroes at 30.
S/he is nowhere to be seen now.
Must have been busted as a fraud.
Make no mistake. It is possible to cheat on jailbroken devices. I would say a significant number of the higher level players do or have done this to get to where they are now. Just my opinion. I have seen with my own eyes gems appear in an account on a jailbroken device for free.

Definitely not cheating with games of this caliber.
Some players enjoy games and are working adults.
Many Dont mind spending a few hundred a week for something they enjoy.
I know its hard for the kids to understand but remember there are thousands of people playing.
Some have their own business and some are in the professional field.
If they were cheating I'm sure Supercell would ban them quickly.
Oh yeah I agree, I have lost interest in the Leader Board - wish they would take it away, and yeah it really doesn't take much away from my enjoyment of the game but I still think Supercell should keep an eye on this to maintain some integrity in the game.Quote:

Why not have a fake account so that all the rich people will see it and want to "keep up with the Jones"
In other words make the rich people feel as if they are getting outspent/outdone/outclassed thus making them want the same stuff too.
I know it sounds a bit silly but to be honest I would do it if I were them. And judging by the greed that Supercell has been displaying... I wouldnt be surprised if there were several fake top 50 accounts. ;)

I was with a mate of mine who had all of his corporate iTunes gift cards ( Over $600 ) for the quarter and used them on his village. Some peeps use these corporate iTunes rewards cards from real life jobs its a common error to think that only kids/teens are playing.
