Clan family systems

I read about how SC feels about the increasing need of new stuff as a clan levels up. I have a idea that doesn't hurt new clans because nobody wants to join them.

So basically there are clans out there that are "sister" clans or "feeder" clans. I believe once a clan reaches a certain level, they would have the option to add a clan to their family tree. Maybe once the clan reaches another certain level they can add another. SC can figure out what specific details that I have not mentioned. I have only said the gist of it. I might add more later when I have time.

i have decided to revisit this idea, because some people want me to go into more detail. so basically when a clan becomes lvl 11-15 they have the ability to create a family tree. How will they be able to do this??? Possibly they can do it for free...or the clan as a whole must donate 500 million gold, into the clan pot, in order to be able to create a tree.

as you level up, you can add one family tree. But each family tree gets more and more expensive. However, all clans in the family tree have the ability to donate Gold in order to add another clan.

example: level 11 clan can have one sister clan. lvl 12 can have two. etc...

I don't think this will have a huge impact on new clans because there are few clans that are even lvl 11. of course as the game goes on there will be more.

Q: Can clans that share a family tree war against one another?

A: No, but they can have friendly wars against each other.


Q: Isn't 500 million expensive? Will there be a daily donation limit to the clan pot?

A: Yes but if you think about it a clan of 50 could easily do that in less than a day. To be honest, if Supercell implements this in the game it might be more expensive. Yes there will be a daily donation limit because someone could donate all of their gold into the clan pot and there wouldn't be gold for the person that raids them.

Q: Can you donate troops to the other clan?

A: No

Q: Can leaders/coleaders jump from one family clan to another?

A: I wouldn't mind being able to go back and forth but it may just be a thing only the leader can do.

A: I think the max should be 5.

That'd be superb. Allowing individual friendly challenges between connected clans as well, perhaps?

I'd love to see some more social aspects added to the game, including the ability to move between clans more easily and communicate with affiliated clans. It's not as clear, though, how it would affect new clans. A good clan alliance will have many, many seats to fit new players and their profile would be higher than a new clan. New clans would not only need to compete with top clans for players, but then they'd need to compete with these large groups. Imagine things as a new player. Which would you rather join, a new clan just starting out, or a large family of clans where you can reap the knowledge of hundreds of other players? However, you are correct that it would also allow new clans to join an alliance and open up new opportunities for them. It's just not clear whether it would turn into a positive or a negative for new clans.

In principle I agree that there should be clan family system. As an owner of this idea you should provide more detail so that we will decide to support this idea or not.

idk...that would seem a bit chaotic in my opinion. the clans wouldn't be put together in one big chat if thats what you're thinking. they'd be separate but still in the same clan family.

They could just make clans larger at higher levels rather than making a tree. A tree would be an interesting idea though, how would you implemement it? Recognition on clan profile?

i believe that the idea to make clans larger is already ruled out. implementing it??? im guessing u mean to ask 'how would you connect clans'. my idea is a simple request but the only person that can accept the request is the leader. if a clan info button is made, it could show the clan family tree.

I strongly agree with the idea here. The clans would be a way to move players or move between clans freely, chat would be , linked possibly with a separate tab, doantion requests will be transfered to the linked chat only if the request stays too long in your sister clan. lots of ideas but I think SC could make the clans link to each other.

My only thing is that a co leader will be allowed to link and de link clans in the event the leader becomes inactive etc..

I like this idea alot but how would this effect wars? We already have alot of people complaining about engendered bases and min max bases. This could potentially make things even worse...or give more peoe stuff to complain about.

great idea! it would indeed be nice to be able to have a recruiting or feeder clan but also a clan for people that would like to take a break for a while or a clan to add friends or family members to. I add that last thing because we've had that problem a few times: we're an experienced war clan so we take wars seriously but sometimes someone wants to add a few more casual playing friends or family but they cannot be added to wars or if we do it creates frustration. If you could add a few sister clans and allowed people at say co-leader level to easily hop from clan to clan (provided there is room) without them losing donation records etc...it would be awesome!

Here's another one, allow the full tree to make war against another full tree

What would make this different from normal clan wars? Each clan must add at least 90% of its members (the total amount can then be to the nearest 10 instead of 5 to make match finding easier) this will result in huge epic wars... To make this feature more profitable for the clans.... Say they can earn a megga bonus? Like 2x normal bonus?


However this is your idea, so you should decide, but it would be great if you could add this to your idea.

One thing more, I think that 500million is perhaps to much, bring it down to 100million or so...

Why does this have anything to do with engineered bases can you explain? I feel at least SC gives us the ability to place our sister clans on our clan information page, this way if our clan is full they can simply click on a sister clan on our information page and request there.

I don't think that the clans would be able to war against each other. because this could be abused in a way. I think they could do a friendly war however. also, if you have a clan of 50. all you would need to do is raid for 2 million gold for each member, that's too easy. there would also be a limit to how much you donate daily/weekly

That's the idea although I'm not sure how it would work if a tree broke off. It may need consent of both leaders if that were to happen but again, i dont know the best solution yet.

Firstly It should start at Lvl 10. My variations to your post are below.

A: No/Yes. If one clan was unable to fill a request within half an our than, the request goes to all clans assuming that we will have a tab with clan chat so we can chat between our sister clans.

Q: Can you jump from one family clan to another?

A: No but a leader or co leader will be able to move any member from one clan to another.
