Usually, war troops count more than other troops.
In order to fix this, SC should chance the war weight more often, so if today a lot of players attack with miners and bowlers, having these troops letts you count more, if you are a TH10 without this two troops, you will count less since SC also reduces the weight of troops seldom used in war. (Barbarians, Archers, Goblins, Minions...)
Edit: Maybe the weight of troops should be based on the Players TH

For me the only solution for lopsided bases in clan war matchmaking is to put the quantity of townhall level as one of the factor. And supercell must control the matching even atleast the top tier to be equally match. Because lopsided bases doesnt really violate any of the terms and conditon of the game. " Lopsided bases are not a cheat instead a strategy to Win but Supercell must put a control into matchmaking"
In war defence heroes are available even if upgrading so isnt unfair for attackers to attack without heroes while upgrading? Have you heard about some clan that dont includes player pertaining to TH11 to TH9 if their heroes are unusable during war? So suppose that i want to focus on upgrading on my heroes and will not join my clan in war how long will it be before I can join a war ? Lets have a simple estimation on this , lets say each heroes is 7 days for maximum days of upgrading heroes . 7 x 40 = 280 days and of course we cant have an barbarian king and archer queen together so lets times it with 2. So its plus n minus 560 days of upgrading equivalent to 18 months for both of my heroes to be max. So do you think a clasher could really be that interest in playing this game? So pls supercell help your self , pls make heroes available for clanwar attacking and not only in Friendly Challenge where we found it not so useful in our progress in the game.
Just fix the modding situation is all. I'd rather face extreme engineering than modders anytime. At least I know it is still a level playing field than all that sand boxing. Jeeze...
The right fix for war weight to me would be to have an offensive weight and a defensive weight for each townhall level, whichever is the highest is your war weight. Max th10 army? Youre a max th10 facing a max th10, if you're engineered I assume they'll enjoy the free 3.
I understand why you will not be letting upgrading heroes into war. Gemming time on upgrading heroes because we have a tough war is the only reason I have gems in this game.

I'd imagine this would be a massive quality of life improvement since many clans have a weekly war schedule. Whether they war 1, 2, or 3 times per week, wars usually start on the same day each week.

BURNER ACCOUNT FIX
Filter on war clan matchmatching. TH7 and up only
Th7 and under clans can DISABLE this to match with other clans who want bases who are TH7 and lower
FIXES ALSO IMPROPER MATCHMAKING with bottoms full of TH5s
PREP DAY FIX
Make it so changing a few items wont affect Friendly Challenges. Make new bases inactive for 36 hrs instead of 24. Bring back prep day to 12 hours.
LEADER GOING TO WRONG COLEADER ON EXIT
When exiting, a prompt pops up with coleaders who you want to assign leader to, before a Leader final exit.
