We have had an influx of new members, all from the same former hood. We were quite alarmed that they call each other by farm name!
So I wanted to find out how other Hoods operate. They say that is how they have always done it. I have visited many hoods and I have never seen it.
Sooooo... does your hood use farm names or real names?
We use farm names. For several in our hood the farm name is their real name, but not for all.
Farm names or variations of farm names. Some use real names in their farm name so that is what we use in that case. But still along the lines of farm.

Farm names. Sometimes the farm name is their real name.
We know each other's names. Where each of us is located etc. but we prefer to use farm names. We have all been together (most) for two or more years. I am Besta in my game as well as Besta at home. So I guess my "real" name is being used.Quote:

We have a "Monster" but I could not bring myself to call her that and we have a "Do you even lift?".
I am "Carry On Hayward Son" which explains why people call me "Carry" or "Carry On" or even "Hayward"
Funny to see this now, after 2 plus years with hoods
We use farm names, or forum names. I am called Glade, I call Minigardener Mini, because I knew her on the forum first, but others call her Dibs. We we have had members who used their real names in their farm names, but not many. Sometimes we use the initials of the farm - GD for Glade Designs, so not to confuse it with my main farm. It's just easier to remember if the name you call the person is popping up in the chat and you (I) don't have to trouble the aged brain to remember who is which farm.Quote:

Just call people by the name that appears in hood chat. Anything else is too much to remember. :o
I guess we need to apologize to Bacon Boy, Nana, Crown, Redd, Monster and Maple Leaf... But we will still use real names ;) There are 19 others to consider!Quote:
