I like this idea. It is simple and should be implemented ASAP.
This is a ridiculous idea that will never be implimented. If you have a problem with spies, then close your clan during war.
There is no reason this or something like it could not be implemented. This is a game it is supposed to be fun. Closing the clan it not always an option since it prevents recruitment. Giving a clan a way to prevent the enemy from joining should be implemented. Soys are annoying, and sours many players on war.
Spying is a part of the game according to SC so there is no need for this.
There is a need for this since many players are bothered by spying. It may be a part of the game, but this is to request a change to the game. So we are asking that SuperCell change the game to get rid of an annoying aspect. Until this topic gets added to the ruled out list, this is an appropriate request.
This is a really bad idea
What if he wants to change clan
Stop being lazy and stop complaing
As soon as you get matched up take screen shots of all their members and if one tries to join then go look if their name is on the list
really? I don't want him in my clan. He can join any other clan that wants him I don't care. As for the manual work of taking screen shots of 20 - 30 enemy players then manually cross referencing them to a new recruit, that is what computers were made for. Paperwork is not why I play the game.
How would it significantly reduce spying? Anyone who wished to spy would just keep an alt outside their clan for such purposes, join another clan before the one they wish to spy upon or ask a friend from another clan to do so.
As there are regular occurrences of DB problems (clans locked up with 51/50 members, clans unable to start a war getting a "you are already in war" message, etc) any increase in the complexity has the potential to be problematic. The trophy requirements and amount of player trophies are already held in the clan and player records. This idea would involve keeping a "last clan" record in the player information and an "at war with" record in the clan information and checking for correlation, which would be easily bypassed by not being in the spying clan to begin with or joining another clan prior to the one you wish to spy upon. Adding complexity for no achievable purpose is to be avoided.
You are assuming everyone has multiple accounts. That is not true. Most the people I know in the game have a single account. All the spying I have seen are the members of the enemy clan leaving their clan and trying to join ours.It happens quite frequently. If someone was using an alternate account and did not say they were from the enemy clan, you wouldn't know you were being spied on. Which is not the complain this is trying to address. Player availability to join a clan war is already stored. So a player can not join two clan wars at the same time. The enemy clan stores the list of players in the war, even after the player leaves the clan. these are already in the database. Nothing new is needed to be added. So if a player wants to join a clan, and they are not eligible for war, simply excluding the clan they are at war with is quite simple. Nothing new needs added. As for data base problems with current wars. You are basically saying that every request in the forum that involves war in any way will ruin the game. So we might as well shut down the forum and stop posting ideas.
We Always send out a spy, It is the first strike of war. And we frequently laugh about the other clan being so desperate and star struck by a big base they welcome him, when his name is literally what he is doing. Vet before you accept, or be much more secure and keep the clan closed while you are in war.
So, without the use of an alt account, a member who will not be in war can leave before the war search is started. They can then pop back in to the clan or use out of game communications to find out the clan tag of the clan they are matched with and join the opposing clan. All your proposed changes to the game will not prevent that.
When you say "If someone was using an alternate account and did not say they were from the enemy clan, you wouldn't know you were being spied on. Which is not the complain this is trying to address" it further devalues your argument. You are advocating changes to the game that would not address spying at all, merely the spying where you know you are being spied upon.
Why don't yall just turn your clan to an invite only clan? If someone tries to join, and wasn't invited, then don't let them if you don't want them spying...this fix should be on the clan themselves, not supercell...jus' sayin'...
this idea is really dumb. it would tick off a lot of people, and wouldn't even prevent spying. Someone could just send an alt account to join that wasn't directly in the clan in war.
This would be a better idea: new joiners won't be able to see war log from a war underway when they join (prep or battle day). If they were in the clan at any point less than 7 days ago, they can still view it (would be beyond lucky to have been in the clan yours matched against, and at that point, you probably would treat it similar to an arranged war and be more happy/laughing about randomness of matchup than wanting to spy your own clan to a different clan you are also in.
Also, change war log so it shows wins/losses/%, but doesn't show enemy clan level, name, or logo. This means you can have fun displaying your war log as a serious clan and not worry about anyone spying on you.
at this point, the only way to spy is for a long time member of the clan to betray them, which is just stabbing your own clan in the back for no reason. can't do anything about this.
Whatare, if you are too lazy to look at a name then scan the enemy bases before you accept (assuming you are invite only) then yes, you probably would get spied on alot and it's your own fault.
It takes a few seconds to scan(AKA scroll) through the names on the war page during a war, so before I accept I usually check. Anyways spies dont usually target invite only clans. (I admit on the odd chance I spy on enemy clans if ACJ and there top bases need to be checked for pre-cooking of troops. Then it's easy to quickly scope top 3-4 then relay into through my join back req.(then I accept myself and clan life goes on as usual)
Also ever heard of changing your war base before the war starts? You cannot rely on spying results to come out correct.especially if the enemy realizes there enemy was there. So yeah spying isn't a big problem, or a problem really so please dont implement this. All this really does is limitate clash freedom more than it already is.
If you just started the war, never accept new members at the moment. As there is probability that these accounts entering are from the enemy as well.
That's why it's really good idea to add friends when building a new clan. For established clans, this will never be an issue. That's why there's no need to implement such mechanism.
You realize that spies don’t need to come from the enemy clan ?
You realize that you don’t need to in a clan to communicate with that clan ? Oh wait...you do.
This idea will solve nothing of consequence. Apart of snippets of clan chat, spying reveals little that can’t be discovered with experience, analysis and a scouting/first attack.
Close your clan or set it to Invite and stop feeding the excuse-mill.
