Glade, I've only been farming for a little over two years, but I am spending considerably less time on the farm with each update. Yes, we get new things, but they seem to be taking us farther and farther away from a farm. Hay Day is turning into Hodge Podge. Maybe sunny, cooperative, resource management focused, weapon-and-disaster-free, "old fashioned", patient farming wasn't attractive to enough people. On the other hand, maybe SC wasn't patient enough to stick with their wonderful original vision and see where that would go. It might have been really surprising!
Daz, I've never been a clasher. My only experience with it was watching the video of Ranger and the other YouTubers when they were all invited to Helsinki. (If you haven't seen it, it's pretty hilarious.) As I recollect, CoC farming disappeared about the same time that competition arrived in Hay Day in the form of the Derby. That was where my love of the game peaked. If it weren't for my neighbors and friends here in the forums, I would probably have quit. This is the only game I play, and I don't intend to look for another.
LeChat, I love your signature rendition of the elephant. It looks very happy to be off its pedestal!
