I am going to have to say "goodbye" to HayDay at the next update

:mad: Yep, as it is said in the title. There's nothing else I want to get rid of on my tablet. I had already given up 4 games to do the last update. The last few games I play on my tablet are ones I play only on my tablet. Some apps I can't delete, because they are part of the Android system. Those don't even give you an option to remove. If it does, it comes up with a warning that it can "damage" the system. And basically the tablet or phone won't work appropriately. Getting a new tablet is impossible, can't afford it.

Winter update is probably next and that's a goodbye from me. :thumbsdown:

I don't know of anyone has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

(There's no crying Smileys/emojis.)

Well, hopefully you'll get a job soon and will be able to upgrade your tablet or phone & come back, or maybe even before the update!

That would be so great! And you sure posted fast! I kept editing, because 1) had a misspelled word, and 2) my Smileys kept changing to exclamation points in a diamond shape!

Would be nice if Hay Day had the option to play on SD card.

I wish they'd go back to allowing us to use other emoji's. The ones here are boring & limited.

Hello, usually there's a lot of junk on your phone. When I get the insufficient storage message, I just clean the app cache and it gives me enough space to update it. The option to clear cache must be somewhere in your storage settings, else you need to manually visit each app in settings and clear it's cache.

Have you tried that?

It would be a great shame if you stopped playing.

I currently run one of my farms on a Kindle fire. It's absolutely legitimate and supported by Supercell.

The reason I say this is that device was very cheap, so it might just help you - you did ask for suggestions!

My tab's Android version is 4.4.2 and I installed a SD card recently. But Hay Day won't allow me to move the whole game onto the SD card. The game takes up 161MB but 90MB may be moved onto the SD card.

BTW, the current free space I have on my Android device is 1.45GB. When it dropped below 1.0GB a few months ago, I experienced connection issues with HD.

Do you have a lot of pictures on your device? A lot of old text messages? A lot of old emails? Delete the old text messages and emails and save the pics to a CD or I think Google has some pic-saving feature. Clearing all these things, especially the pics, will help create room.

Yes, I do have alot of pics. I try to delete old texts, but I have saved some. Didn't think about the emails. Will have to check that. Thanks for the suggestions. I don't want to delete any more games.

I've heard of caches and have cleared some on my computer. But what exactly are they, and what happens when u clear them? And for that matter, what are cookies? (Not talking about the crunchy or chewy kinds, I'm talking about the computer cookies. (Sorry if these questions might be stupid, but I just can't seem to understand what caches and cookies are, in regards to the computer).

Buy a new designated tablet! I have cheap track phones for 3 farms. Nothing but for HayDay. 19.99 each at Walmart.

Hmmmm, Kindle fire, huh? I didn't know hay day can be put on that. I was actually looking at the Kindle fire. Doesn't hay day need internet connection?

There is not enough information in the first post for me to give the best answer. I gonna guess and hope it helps.

If your problem is simply you cannot update the game because of the error message "not enough storage", I have it too and here's what I do to keep playing:
Step 1: make sure the game is linked to either G+ account or FB account in order to load it from the cloud. Keep the account details safe.
Step 1bis: for extra protection, gather all information to help provve to support that your farm is yours (start day, device model, last daybplaying from, country, in app purchase invoice/email...), well everything to help you recover your farm in case of lost farm such as trouble loading the farm with account from Step 1 . DO NOT SHARE THIS INFO WITH ANYONE.

Step 2: on android, go to settings > storage > clear cache. I'll let you search for step to step applied to your android version. Try updating/installing game. If fail, try step 3.

Step 3: my ultimate weapon ;) and it onky works if step 1/1bis is well done. Uninstalle the game (freeing the space), reinstall it. On first launch look for connecting to your account from step 1. You should be able to choose to load the farm from the cloud and continue playing on it.

Yes; Hay Day needs Internet connection. Kindle fire connects to the Internet, so no problem there. I've been running a farm on my Kindle fire since February 2016, fairly soon after Supercell made a version available for Kindle.

Hope that helps, but you might not need to go down that road, given the great advice from meonhoc.

I also play on my prehistoric 4S. ;) It lags a bit at times but it's not too bad.
