This is not the case. There have been well documented cases of large amounts of players getting refunds through Apple based on an app that did not perform as expected, or where an update to the app invalidates or devalues previous in-app purchases. I'll be happy to give you details if you're interested, but I'm not going to post non-Supercell app names here.
With that said, it's rare... as it should be. I don't think anything that Supercell has done (or failed to do) rises to the level where Apple would rule in player's favor.
