I imagine it would be as easy as emailing apple support. Linking the response by Supercell acknowledging the issue (wherever that may be) and the argue calmly and coherently that it does not seem acceptable for this game to continue making updates which do not address this issue. Maybe add that if this problem continues unresolved, after being acknowledged, it could lead to people asking for refunds.

I don't know though, not sure what standards developers are held to by Apple. They probably have determined this is not in breach of whatever agreement is in place. Worth a shot though, IMO.

If you are complaining about wasted time, I would say the time wasted on the clock delay is minimal compared to the time wasted on waiting the building/upgrading. We all know, actually upgrading the building does not even take 1 millisecond, why should we wait days for that? In those days, the builder is practically doing nothing, and simply changed the building level at the last millisecond. Don't you feel this is a huge waste? SC is totally in the position, and is totally able to (make the changes within 10 minutes) , make sure the builder is not waiting there doing nothing, and make all those upgrades instant.
This is the biggest issue in wasting user's time.

It would be interesting to see how apple would respond if enough people contacted them with a complaint with evidence to back it up. My guess is they might put some pressure on SC to fix this, or at least have them start bouncing back future updates until this issue is fixed.

This would ruin the game 'instantly'. The waiting, holding on to resources in the mean time etc. that's fun. It's what happens in your mind. Else they might as well show zeros turn to ones and ones to zeros. Waiting is part of the game. But It should not be so unreliable.

OMG please tell me this is irony... If not it cracks me up that anyone could think that the reason for the upgrade wait time is the time it takes to change the building + supercell wasting our time lololololol

Either you're a troll or you really don't "get" the game. If everything just instantly finished, where does the game end up? Where/what is the game play? Everybody would have instantly maxed bases and troops; then what? No one would need or want to buy gems at this point so where would SC's income come from? Do you seriously think that SC or any other company would want to spend money creating, developing and hosting a game or product for free...just for your entertainment? I guess you'll find out soon enough what it's like to have to earn your own money once your parents stop supporting you. Sorry for sounding harsh, but your response required a reality adjustment.

That being said, it is still pretty annoying having additional time tacked onto our build times though. I've learned to just live with it until SC figures out how to fix it.

I have told my clan members about this glitch. Most of them were not aware. I am sure most (if not all) of you have done the same. Lets keep spreading this info, including in the global chat.

The more people are aware, the better. Also lets advise people to stop geming the late night upgrades as there is no point in doing it. You will have to do it again with the next upgrade and so running out of your gems.

Hopefully, if people start doing this, SC will notice a drop in number of people gemig the late upgrades and will consider fixing this.

Wow! Honestly, I would never find this were it not me searching for something about wizard towers. Lol. Anyways, just a few things I wanna know:

1. Why on earth would you gem an upgrade which finishes in the next hour or two? Yes you'd use the builders before sleeping so that your resources wouldn't be taken, I get that. But, the mere fact that you're rushing on upgrades for that reason alone kinda makes it look like you don't trust your defense, which is very poor to blame on SC. I actually changed my defense due to boredom (people destroy the TH, unable to get the loot, etc.). Besides, you'd be sleeping either way so what good will gemming the last few hours do? Just sleep off your boredom or find something else to do. It isn't really SC's fault why you spend gems on those things. They already earned their money by you people actually BUYING the gems.

2. To SC, as I've read here, this issue has been going on for roughly a year now. And for every update there's always a portion which says "fixed some errors/ bugs/ issues". People don't normally notice this, people like me, because we have no idea what it is, until we do experience it, and NOTICE it, which is what happened here. Now, it would really be unfair for us players to have this issue ongoing for such a long time, and not one person from the mods can even give a direct answer. Last I saw was Twister and his answer was vaguely put. You guys ARE in charge of the game, so to speak. If you made it, why can't you fix it? In the first place, there really is no point placing a separate timer for the shield, and the building upgrades. I'm no expert so I let you guys figure out what's what with the game. Just please, don't compromise us players for whatever reasons you may have for keeping this issue unfixed for such a long time.

I'm really neutral on the issue. Sure, I'd like a fix to it. I mean, who wants to be playing a bugged game right? But I'm not a gemmer so I don't really mind the few extra minutes or so being inconsistent with what's stated in-game.

Despite all that I've said, I'm sure everyone will agree when I say that this still is an awesome game. Clash on everybody!:)

Dsbn, the answer to question number 1 is we don't want to waste valuable build time. If a builder sleeps through te night, that's a lot of time gone down the drain. Builders are not meant to sleep, especially not during the night

The answer to question number 2 is that SC did officially replie and they won't do anything about it because it takes to much time and it is too costly. If you search trough this thread you will come across their letter.

Because in a game with 100's of hours of time required for your builders to be working, why would you want them to rest 6-8 hours each 24 hour period? That's the equivalent of adding a solid 25-33% of TOTAL upgrade time over the life of your village. Uhhh no thanks.
