I need help raiding in Crystal 3!

Hi All,

So I have been having a few issues with raiding recently. I normally make an army that cost around 75k, that has a mix of Archers, Barbs, Giants, WB and Gobs. This army (with a few spells and my BK and AQ) can smash an average TH8 and I was usually making around 150k gold, 150k elixir (75k profit on elixir) and whatever dark elixir was available. However, I am now nearing Crystal League 3 and with all the TH9s and TH10s (even premature ones) I am struggling to make a profit/win.

So my question is, what is a good army composition for raiding and making profit in Crystal 3?

doesnt exactly answer your question but drop some trophies to 1600 etc use that set up or BAM to raid....

Excuse my ignorance but what is BAM?

Also, I know I can farm well enough in the Gold league but this was more of a questions as to how profitable it is and how to raid in Crystal. My issue with Gold is that I rarely get raided, which sounds great but gets very boring.

I think part of this games problem is the cost ratio of troops to loot. Because most people only get 150k loot from a raid it makes it very inefficient to use troops like the dragons and pekka that cost 35-50k. In my opinion they should reduce the cost of these units so people raiding can make a more diverse army and thus increase their enjoyment.

Hi,
As you start raiding in Cristal III you'll need to start looking for winning rather than farming. Winning rather means targeting the TH first and (better :))/or the 50%.
First, you forget the goblins they are not meant to win,
then compose a simple army of 12-15 giants, 10 wall-breakers, 1 healer and the rest of archers. This much more aggresive composition will last at destroying on the battlefield. It costs approx. 120k elixir with maxed troops and within cristal III you can still make good loots.

It starts to be once you leave the gold area and I see this Crystal III as the transition zone between farming and trophy hunting. If you are a solid TH8 you should still find TH8s/premature TH9s with making good loots. Sometimes it's worth spending 30-40k in the search engine to find the right one... ;-)

@OP barb/arc/giants/wb can 2 stars bases around crystal 3 easily ...

Really!?

I find that any base with xbows will slaughter an army of arch/barb/giant/wb. Unless you get into the chambers holding the xbows and kill them. Otherwise is a time race to how much resources you can get before your army is annihilated. They need to make TH9 bases farmable if you know what I mean.

I rarely see TH 9 with lv3 xbows , n lv1 xbows r not that powerful as they look ... Sometime u make profit , sometime u don't , but wining is for sure.
