You may also like to note that bombs work in the same way, the circle around them shows the trigger radius, their blast radius is slightly larger.

So if they worked like Hidden Teslas, their ring would indicate their blast radius, not the trigger radius and one would wonder why they don't go off... ;)

If the attacker is competent and all teslas firing, you're getting 3D.

So...I suppose the complete answer is:
Nothing whatsoever was mechanically wrong here.
Although, it might be nice if both radii were displayed.

ElectroWizzard is correct. Any defense system works within it's indicated radius, only traps work differently. If there's a difference in how a defense unit works, it's indicated by an additional ring - see mortar.

Hidden Tesla therefore qualifies as a trap.

Tesla is not a trap because it needs to be destroyed to get 100%, also it has no rearm cost
Tesla attack radius is one tile bigger than trigger radius

Where have I indicated that I haven't received a complete answer? I think only where you want to boost your ego, mate.

The question was to the CoC Team to take 2nd ring into consideration and I replied to whoever stated their mind here and that the Hidden Tesla's description & ring deliberately mislead.

You're the one whining about lost resources, misleading rings, accusing game of not functioning properly.

Don't pretend you knew anything about it first, as your OP would have been very different.

Later question was to consider the second ring, not initially.

People love having a hissy fit after being found lacking in the game knowledge department.

You can whine all you like, the game won't be changed because of your personal failure to adapt to how the game works.

This thread alone is why I hate these forums, a bunch of cynical flaming snobs. This was good question and legitimate follow-up question by the OP.

I agree, either add two rings on the tesla or place the trigger ring alone, not the attack, but both would be better.
