To state the obvious: there already is, by closing your clan. I get that you don't want to do that because you are trying to grow at the same time so you just want to ban people coming from the enemy clan. The problem is that most clans who spy have a dedicated spy who floats outside the clan and just hops between the enemies - ie the spy wouldn't be coming direct from the clan you are at war with, he would be coming from somewhere else.
So I don't think this form of ban would work. Many others on here have suggested that any new member to a clan shouldn't be able to see the war bases (or at least the traps and cc troops) for 48 hours after joining, and this idea may have some merit.
Great feedback, I'm impartial to the method as long as the same goal is achieved, to prohibit your opponent from being allowed to gain an unfair advantage during a war period. I think your 48 hour war base viewing ban might fix this, and hope that SC considers implementing something effective. Thanks!
I think this is a too common problem. But what that other guy said was correct as well... People hop around.
There no problem. Not accepting - no spying.
If you beware of spies and wanna accept everone at same time - 2 days play war with clan closed, one day open clan for new members accepting.
Because spyies come from other clan, best spies with not eligible for 4 hours ;) You can't understand if he are spy even after war :D
Honestly this is stupid, espionage is apart of warefare. It should be apart of the game and really changes the tide of warwe have won wars off of spying. So no they shouldnt add a prevention. Anyone agree?
The 48 hour thing is the best solution IMO.
Spying is cheating. Attempting to get an unfair advantage is cheating. We war nonstop, so there is no time to open/close for new members. You guys that are all for it, try winning a few wars without cheating and see how it goes. If you still win you don't need it. It's just simply bad for the game and needs to be regulated. If you join a clan while the war is in progress, your viewing capabilities should be limited. Period.
Spying is not cheating, full stop. It is within the rules. SC have said this themselves.
Please do not accuse those of differing opinions of cheating. Firstly, spying is not cheating and secondly, not everyone who accepts spying as a part of the game utilises it.
I'm not in agreement with spying either but what can supercell do? Even if they make it where you can't leave your clan during a war (in war or not) you will always have a person that will find cc and traps for someone else. (Also called scouting)
Can someone tell me why many clans are able to 1. War nonstop 2. Close clan during war and prevent spies and 3. Grow their clan? Many clans have figured this out. Just cause you can't figure it out is no reason to change the game.
I vote for new people not to be able to see traps teslas for 48 hours after joining. You will still be able to spy basic layout of the base ( copy it then friendly challenge the hell out of it)spying will still have some use but not give an overwhelming advantage against clans who don't have the opportunity to recruit outside of war
Lol i have a spy in my opponents clan right now....im about to copy it so my clanmates can challenge it
While I am not personally in favor of spying it is part of the game and it should remain so. The old saying "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" applies here.
If if you have been spied on in the past and have not learned to close your clan during clan wars then "shame on you"
I don't think there is a need for such a drastic change
In my clan we jus set it to invite only
Only accept people from a members global ( we ask member is x person was from their global if not reject if they are accept )
And if there is some random person trying to join that's from no ones global
Accept kick with message to go to a sister clan and wait till after war we add them
And that's that
No issue with spy's
I do get that not everyone has a sister clan to kick members to
But u can jus build a new clan that u never use and have it for that sole purpose
No need to change anything about the game
Besides how would u tell if someone is a spy if they aren't from opposing clan????
U can't there is no way to stop them but to b catious about who u accept
Once u accept they can scout u
And watch replays from your war log
It's up to u to protect yourself and your clan and make sure your leaders and elders get that
