EMAIL: itunesstoresupport@apple.com for your refund
Forget about all the petitions going around. If you are serious about receiving a refund for the money you've spent on gems, email Apple directly and state your case. I emailed them last night after struggling with the update all day and told Apple that Supercell is extorting money from players and did not deliver on a product which I paid for in good faith. I received an email from Apple within less than 24 hours telling me they would be refunding the $106.19 I've spent on this game.
Make sure you go through your purchase history on itunes and write down the order number of each gem package purchase.
Once again the email for Apple is:
itunesstoresupport@apple.com
you can also call up Credit Card company if you think the purchase not fair
credit card company will protect their customer
Awesome..thanks for the advice
I have been sitting here feeling very ripped off...emailing them now :)
Email sent..I'll keep you all updated on the response
Email sent..I'll keep you all posted how I go....
Here is my very fast response from Apple..good on them! At least someone cares!
Hi! This is Allan, an iTunes Store Advisor. I'm sorry to learn that this item did not meet the standard of quality you have come to expect from the iTunes Store. I have submitted this item for investigation. Apple takes the quality of the items offered on the iTunes Store seriously and will investigate the issue with this item, but I can't say when or if the issue will be resolved. Please try again in a few weeks.
In five to seven business days, a credit of $157.39 should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt for that purchase.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I'll be more than happy to assist you with whatever you need. Thank you for the chance to improve your iTunes experience.
Sincerely,
Allan

Hello there. My name is _______ from iTunes Store Customer Support. I see that we have an issue on a specific app. I can certainly appreciate how anxious you are to have a resolution but no need to worry, I would be more than happy to help you out with this today.
Alright, I strongly advise you to report the problem directly to the app developer. Seeing that we have a third party application here and for the fact that we here on iTunes cannot speak directly for app. I've pulled up the support website where you can get in touch with the app developer regarding this issue.

I have to admit that I didn't fully believe in the validity of this and other posts claiming to have gotten refunds. I figured it was worth a shot anyway. My boyfriend, who is also an avid player of this game, thought I was dumb for even trying (he's spent 6 times what I've spent). They've agreed to give me my $320 something dollars back plus taxes within 5-7 business days! I feel so much better now that I didn't spend any real money upgrading my town hall to level 8, and buying 5 useless builders who will now be out of work and sleeping for a long time. I will let you all know if my boyfriend gets his refund of about $1800.00. I just wrote up and sent a request for him. Thanks again!
