This game is getting BORING

This game is getting pretty boring.

The barn is full, silo is full, I've got alot of stuff stacked by the machines. My barn has expansion materials at the limit (limit is at 36 for barn or 32 in silo) for what I need for SOME of the barn and and silo upgrade. (I think my barn is at 900 or 925 and the silo is at 850.)

I don't have money to buy diamonds with real money. And I've been selling like heck, but the more common ingredients I want to have so that I can make the items. Aaaaaarg.

Probably a good thing I didn't buy the pasta kitchen! Although I do want it. I am also almost to the level for the hot dog stand.

It's funny. I used to always have plenty of saws, not axes, but I never had to get saws from Tom, because i always got them as a reward. Now I've run out of saws and axes. I've been using Tom for boat. But now Tom is not usable. I would have to re-hire him , and that needs diamonds, which I don't have.

Aaaaaargh.

Supercell/HayDay, can't there be an increase in barn space more than 25 for each expansion when you get to a certain level? I think I am at level 74; I am at the level just below the one needed for the hot dog stand. When people say high level, I don't know exactly what's considered high level, and no one answers my question about it. When exactly has someone reached high level? 60? 80? Am I considered high level at level 74?)

If your barn and silo are full sell stuff. Don't collect barn and silo items at the same time. Plenty of people have reached high levels in this game without buying diamonds.

Yes! Sometimes I don't do the collection of the barn stuff at the same time, but sometimes I can't help it. Some items need both a crop AND a barn item! I don't even have any saws and axes. And before you say to do wheating, I always have 90-100 wheat in my silo. But then my silo is full, so I have to sell the wheat.

That's why it's a farm management game, get rid of excess things you don't need in your barn and silo. Or trade to increase the barn and silo.

Like what? Please give examples.

I was told to have a certain amount of items, so that I can help people or have the ingredients to make stuff. (Incidentally, I never have enough of the items that other people need more than half the time! They need 15 cream, I have 9. Or they need 5 milk, and I only have 3 or 4. Or they need 44 indigo, and I have 18.)

I can't trade. I left the neighborhood I was in. The neighborhood I was in only consisted of me and the neighborhood leader and she had to stop playing. So I couldn't even try to trade in the neighborhood, either. 😫

It's too scary to just go into another neighborhood for the trading and then leave the neighborhood. That's what alot of the complaints were on the roadside shop, and probably the reason why the trading was created in the first place.

(It's pretty neat what happens when one leaves the neighborhood. The derby stand gets padlocked and the neighborhood trading post gets boarded up!)😠

When you say the game is boring, are you saying that you've reached a point in the game where you feel like you can't progress, and therefore it feels like you can't do anything, and therefore, it's "boring"?

If that's the case, then working your way out of this situation could be an interesting and fun challenge. You can do it!

Have you seen the Scorched Earth Challenge thread? Some players intentionally deprive themselves of practically everything, and then try to rebuild their stock. If they can do that, then you can hop over this little obstacle you got here.

Release yourself from that idea, Midori. :) We don't have to have anything in this game. Nothing is mandatory. It's up to each of us to decide what we want to keep and what we want to sell or use.

None of us can help everyone in this game. If you can't help fill a crate, it's alright. Don't let it get you down or make you feel like your game isn't up to snuff or something like that.

What are your game goals, Midori? When the game feels "fun" to you, what is it that brings the most enjoyment?

If you want, you could tell us what's in your barn right now and in what quantities. In the context of your goals, maybe others could give you specific advice on how to manage your barn right now.

Game goals? Hmmmm, I'd like to have all the machines. I am passed the level of the pasta kitchen and didnt get that. And I am almost to the hot dog stand level. Although I do want them both, I thought that would give me a chance to make and sell pasta without the machine that needs pasta to make.

I'd like to be able to help people with their boats, but I never seem to have enough items for that. (The paper has also served useless too me countless times, as they never have something I need; example, blackberries, raspberries, olives, etc).

Oh! It becomes fun when I can make items, and right away fill orders after the items are ready, without the interference of barn is full, barn is full, barn is full. It's fun when I can help people on their farms. (However, there's rarely any help for trees and bushes or someone already gets it before it resets in the paper.) Almost all the time, the help is needed with their boats, not with trees and bushes. It's fun to be able to feed all my animals; and to collect milk, bacon, etc.

I definitely think those are goals and very worthy ones.

Re: boats. All of us have to pick and choose which boats we help. So, you'll have to do that too. I don't know if it'll be fun or frustrating, but part of your game could be searching for boats with crate requests that you're able to fill. If you come across a crate that you can't fill, wish it well, blow it a kiss, and move on from it.

If you find a boat in the DD needing something that you don't have at the moment, but you might be able to fill a little later on, you could (temporarily) follow that farm until you get that last popcorn or indigo that the game needs.

These game obstacles are technically supposed to be "fun." I know it doesn't always seem that way lol.

That said, getting your farm enough coin for all the machines is possibly hindered by devoting your resources to boat help. Why? You get the most coins by selling stuff directly in your RSS. When you commit your resources to boats, you get much less coin for those products - although you gain XP and boat points, but it doesn't sound like that's the top priority for you right now.

So, if you're open to it, maybe you could make boat-helping a much lower priority in your game. Grow and make stuff on your farm. Play your heart out, and sell as much as you can in your RSS for full price. As your coin grows - and, if you do this, your coins will grow! - you can buy the machines available at your level. That will be an excellent accomplishment and will probably bring a huge sense of satisfaction to your game.

[Thought I'd continue on in a new post]:

It's fun to be able to collect things that take a really long time to make (i.e. soy sauce, jelly beans, cakes, etc). All again, without the interruption of the farm being full!

Derby is also fun at times, but when I don't do well, it isn't so much fun. But a derby of one just isn't so much fun. I was in a neighborhood of two, but for the last few months, I was in the derby myself. The leader had to stop playing; due to medical issues, let's just say.

I used to make the stuff as I get orders for them, but it was suggested to have a little of everything. It's really fun, when for example I fill a truck order and the very next one that shows up can automatically be filled, too, because i already have the items! That happens in the town, too! 😁😁😁
