shovels ;)
Really.....does it make a difference? I automatically order pickaxes but have never made a note of how many diamonds I get as assumed it was random
yes it does.;)
Be careful with any sort of survey of diamond drops. It seems to vary of time of day, differently for each farm ("seems to" being important words) So I would be skeptical of any study that didn't do thousands of shovels/pickaxes/tnt/dynamite, and carefully spread the samples over time.
Also, SC changes the drop rate from version to version of the game, so any such study will be moot by the next update.
Having said all that, yes, Shovels for the win!
I recorded EVERY drop-item on my farm for a period covering almost four months and I didn't learn too much from all the data except..... my results, in no way, tallied with any other similar surveys. My farm is chronically short of planks. Weeks and weeks of, for me, fairly intensive wheating didn't affect the daily drop rate one iota. There were very brief fluctuations with tapes, boards and nails and then back to mainly bolts and screws. The much vaunted advice of maintaining a balance between your bems and tems didnt work for me and I laugh out loud every time this myth is put forward as a method of increasing one's rare drops. I don't go around searching farms specifically for boxes and sea chests but I do open them if they are available and I can state categorically that, on average, I do not find enough diamonds in a week to buy the tenth task. In the mine? Again they fluctuate and it doesn't seem to matter which tool I use. Fact for your farm, fiction for mine.
It seems. It seems. It seems. It seems to me that everybody should play their farms as it seems to them.😀
For me personally shovels seem to drop more diamonds but it's all probably specific to each person's farm, and you should concentrate on the trends of your own farm.
Well, I start at dynamite, then TNT, shovels and pick axes. There are some times when 20-25 dynamite will yield 3-4 diamonds and 15 pick axes yield none or one. Ditto comparisons with any combination. I get 8 in a chest about once a month or 6 weeks and in toolboxes, every one to two weeks. I get more in the derby consistently.
Think Its All About Ur Luck..
As i recently Got one On Shovel & Pickaxe too on The first use..
But have Heard from everyone Shovels are Better..!! so,
Will go for Shovels..
Psychologically the human brain is hardwired to look for patterns. Complete randomness does not compute in our biological make up. Therefore everyone believes they see patterns or sees a sense of order in how things work- even when randomness is at play.
