Personally, I am a TH7, but my friend, who is a TH8, finds some nice loots at 1400-1500. He actually got a 1 million+ raid there.
Are you looking for gold or DE? I've been trophy hunting (currently around 2050) and looking for DE, but gold has been coming with it.
Farming is best around 1400, at least for me. My army is usually barbs, archers, some giants and wallbreakers. Works fine!!
Farming at Town Hall 8 was great for me. I used only barbs and archers, no wall breakers, giants or goblins, and hung around the 1400-1500 range.
I am a town hall level 6 farmer and my army usually consists of 14 giants, a few wall breakers and the rest goblins. For my level, this army works out great.
Hey! Nice to see another TH8 farmer besides me. I earn ATLEAST 1-4Mil resource a day due to 2x collectors. I suggest you hitting gold3 and farm abandon base. Most of them will give 300K-600K resource in total. For army composition, I suggest 1 healer, 15 giants, 5 wallbreaker, rest archer. Since you aren't "breaking" in, you will have to use the "newbie" method. First, surround the base with giants, then spam all your archers behind those giants and get the collectors. You will get 50%(1star) most of the times to sustain your trophy range. Have fun!
A million plus gold is not a massive deal, all that matter is the gold taken, elixir doesn't count. To OP go 1200-1500Quote:

I use barb/archer rush with 8 WBs and 6 Giants. I found 1 milion base around 1450 and 1500 trophies, you can find a good DE because many TH9 and 10 are here.Quote:
