Search before posting

I tried to use the search before posting feature, but it wouldn't work for me. I click on that, and I write a keyword, let's say "vouchers." I click search which is right next to the keyword search box. But it takes me back to the same page only blank--the search box where I wrote "vouchers" is blank. So I write it again, scroll down, click the "I'm not a robot," at the bottom, then I click the "search now" button, which is underneath the robot statement! I still go to a blank search page. How do you use this feature? This has happened to me several times in he past, too.

I wanted to find the post on vouchers to read again what other people said, but since I can't seem to find it...I was wondering if people are getting more of certain vouchers. The boat ALWAYS gives me green and blue vouchers. No purple and no gold. I'm trying to get the pets, but if I can't get purple and gold vouchers, I can't get the pets. Does this happen to anyone? Are the rare vouchers obtainable in certain features but not in others? (I've seen the rare vouchers in the wheel of fortune, but the wheel doesn't stop on it. 😕 )

What about the blue truck orders? Do you get purple and gold from them?

We all have vouchers that are rarer and from what I have read, many face a drought where they won't get their rarer voucher for awhile. I feel like though your drought has been awhile now. Haven't you been waiting for golds and purples for at least a few months?

As for search, I use Google to search for forum things. You might try that. I haven't had your forum search issue but I'll get on my Android in a bit and try searching and see if I get that same issue you are having.

Try "Advanced Search" then "Search Single Content Type". In "Search for Posts" choose "Search Titles Only". Also in "Additional Options" choose "Hay Day". For your example I tried "voucher" not "vouchers" for broader option and search results came up with threads about vouchers, including the one mentioned by ILoveHayDay but that one was an old thread from 2013 so you have to check page by page

I tried and I can't duplicate this issue you're having.

Maybe try using the full site option instead. See if your search works better using that.

I find that search functionality built into most web forums is bad. I think forum.supercell.net is worse than average. Here is a hint that works well for many web sites, not just forum.supercell.net.

You tell Google (or Bing) to restrict search results to a certain domain, or "site". The way to do this is the same for both Google and Bing. You do this by adding "site:xxxxx" into your search term, where "xxxxx" is the web site that you want results to be for. For example:

I have been getting lots of gold and purple vouchers this past week. I have been wondering if the game maybe noticed that I recently started playing after a long hiatus and wants to make sure I keep playing.

Mostly, though, I remember trying to finish off the animals and how slowly those vouchers seemed to accumulate. I think the key word here is "seemed": it's just the psychology of you needing the thing therefor it's harder to wait. Or as my grandmother was fond of saying: "A watched pot never boils".

Oh! Thank you so much for the tip!! It's so easy that way! This will totally change my relation with this forum haha!

As for gold vouchers, I got a lot of them with the last global event. Of course, I know you may not get gold vouchers when you reach your personal goals but for me it's worth trying. Last time I got more gold vouchers in three days than in three months!

No problem. I have opportunity to answer somebody's question with that tip every so often.

"site:" is useful for all sorts of things, not just making up for bad forum search engines. Here's another example: what if you need to find a routing number for Bank of America?

routing number site:bankofamerica.com

Thanks for sharing that's awesome, I work in tax and finding stuff on our ATO website is a nightmare; using that method via google would make life much easier.

As for the post, I'm getting wayyyy more blue & green vouchers too.

I just keep on trying to get more via the boat; and also bar/jewellery truck orders.

This is an area where you could really benefit in joining a larger neighborhood for Derby, Midori. In some of the later horseshoe rewards 2 gold or 2 purple tickets is not uncommon.

My last derby just fetched me 2 gold vouchers. :)

I've never been able to get the search function to work properly. Advanced is the worst. It gives me results from every game SC makes, and I see no option for limiting the search to "Hay Day" only.

I agree with all who say that forum search is problematic.

Also, I've tried searching via google for some old threads, but sometimes I get pretty much no results. I wonder if the forum blocks google's search bots from fully indexing the site. :confused:

But this is possible. Make sure you're on the tab for searching "Single Content Type."

Then look under Additional Options > Search in Forum(s)

If you want to search all Hay Day subforums, highlight the first appearance that "Hay Day" makes in that scrollable box.

Make sure "Also search in child forums" is checked.

You can also limit the search results in other ways: by date, forum username, etc.
