Can I loot Dark Eleixir by dropping Lightning Spells?

Hi
I am at TH7 with a level 1 BK and also L1 dragons & Minions in my troop. I have a L1 Dark Barrack.
But I need more DE so I ned to raid and loot more DE. But my troops often fail to reach the defenders DE storage.I have L3 Lightning Spell ,L3 Heal Spell & L2 Rage Spell. So I want to know whether dropping Lightning spell can help me in my raids for Dark Elixir? I mean if I can destroy a Dark Elixir storage with several Lightning spells or maybe with one Lightning spell ,then will that Dark Elixir be mine i.e. add to my Dark Elixir quantity?

nope, u can't damage storeges with lightning spells
but you could drop them on full dark elixr drills.

Yes but it's not profitable in saving elixir.

The answer is no. Following an update early this year, Loot Storages now have a forcefield that protects them from Spell Attacks, to avoid people farming DE too easily, as this was what used to happen a while back!

When I was pushing (th sniping days), I saw many th10s with near full de so I just lighting them ._. If you really need it then you should do it

But I used only Lightning spells to destroy a Dark Elixir Storage last month,but nothing happened- i mean my dark elixir didn't increase. I dont remember though if I had a De storage myself then.

Once again mate ... you CANNOT damage STORAGES (any) with lightning (or earthquake). You can try hitting the DRILLS though.

As of the July 1, 2015 update, spells cannot harm resource storages.
