Hello guys, my girlfriend and I really love the balloons and piņata. However, we both get movie tickets pretty much daily. We haven't even purchased diamonds before, and I'm afraid that if we buy these diamond packages with the birthday decorations, we will lose out on a lot more in the long run. Has this myth been proven false or should we avoid purchasing these special packages?

You WILL lose them. It's not worth it.
I guess the theory is that you bought them once, you'll buy them again, especially if you aren't given lots via movie tickets. It really annoys a lot of people though, so I'm not sure it's a theory that works.

There's been the odd person over the years sayng they dudnt lose them, but it wasn't anyone I 'knew' t the time, so I wasn't sure how trustworthy the comments were. On the other hand, hundreds of people have reported losing them.Quote:

Yeah, ive seen tons of threads talking about it, but never any kind of confirmation from the devs. My girlfriend is from Mexico and is in love with the piņata, so I really want to buy it for her (but she doesn't want to lose the tickets). Back when I first began farming, I got five movie tickets a day and I got a diamond for watching each trailer. That was a reliable 5 diamonds every day. The gifts for watching the trailers changed to one diamond for watching the first trailer and random other stuff, with maybe other diamonds mixed in. That was still reliably one diamond a day. When I complained here in the forums about the change from 5 diamonds, I discovered that I was lucky to get the tickets at all and that if I bought diamonds I would lose them.
So, knowing the "risk", I thought long and hard about my first diamond purchase. Yup, tickets were gone the next day and have never returned. That was 18 months ago. About 500 diamonds that I would have received for watching the trailers.
You will 100% for sure lose the movie tickets, don't let anyone tell you different. You buy the deco, movies tickets are gone.
I've had it last month or so.. once a day a pink ticket, everytome no add, getting some humbug.... But never got it back the way it was, nearly every day getting a diamond....

There are far too many testimonies saying you lose tickets after purchasing diamonds. Its too bad too, Supercell has made a very fun game and I like to help support companies that make good products. But its ridiculous that you lose a valuable resource/benefit just because you actually spend money on their game. I wont be buying the decos.

I take it SC is still looking for the optimal solution? Because some players don't lose their tickets after buying diamonds and some have theirs return. Some lose their move tickets and never even bought diamonds. Some have never seen a movie ticket whatsoever. It's all so weird. I wish I had answers to the questions I have about all this.

I had to miss out on the panda deco. It was only for iOS users (so iPhone/iPads); I have Android devices. So I know how you feel. 😥😥
As answered by Support on why not all players get movie tickets:
"Movie tickets are one of the many kinds of special offers created by Hay Day. These offers are distributed to a randomly calculated group of players at a time, meaning not everyone receives the same offers at the same time.
If you did not receive the movie tickets, it's ok :) Take advantage of the other offers in Hay Day, like diamond discount offers, hiring Tom and buying tools for special prices on the first page of the Daily Dirt.
I am sure that if you continue playing, you'll soon get an offer that is just for you! We will continue to work to improve the game and it is possible that we are going to introduce more offers in future updates :)"

LOL at the irony of buying diamond discount offers if you didn't receive movie tickets.
Personally, my favorite part of that collection of suggestions--which are in no way comparable to the movie tickets--is the reference to the special offer in the Daily Dirt. At this moment the "rare item" on special is TNT. The offer is 20 TNT for the bargain price of 56 diamonds (!!!!!) rather than 140 diamonds. Hah, hah, hah!!!! If you really wanted 20 TNT, you could hire Tom for 15 diamonds, get your 20 TNT in 3 runs and have Tom's services for another 18 hours. I've always thought that the DD "deal" was the biggest rip-off in Hay Day.Quote:

If everyone gets them from the beginning, it would be totally fair. If you want more and buy diamonds, I think it's ok that they stop. With buying diamonds for real money you imply SC that you are willing to support them. And if you are willing to support them once, you probably are willing to support them twice, a third time and so on.
With more diamonds you can spend more to make your game play run smoother (e.g. by hiring Tom all the time). If you get - let's say - 2 diamonds per day through movie tickets, you have to keep them (and not spend them on anything) for 65 (!) days until you reach the same amount as if you buy the 4.99€ package with 130 diamonds in under a minute! So it's just a thing of what you want. Slow but steady or fast but pricy. Your choice.
As I get movie tickets I'm very stingy with the usage of diamonds. So when I want a certain deco for 90 diamonds, I have to watch movie tickets for at least 45 days. I can't hire Tom on a daily base, I haven't open all the slots of my machines yet - and still I love this game. As I got the movie tickets right from the start, I've learnt how to cope playing without (or little) using diamonds.
I would have spend real money into this lovely game, but when I see how SC decided to change game-play (certain items only available for paying players), I changed my mind. I simply don't want to support this new kind of money making. For those who don't care about deco, well okay. But for me, decorating my farm belongs to game-play like farming, expanding, feeding animals and so on.
