Your thoughts on the new NH Donations

I will hardly use the donation feature. The reasons I don't find it useful are
1. Time restrictions. Why do there have to be restrictions. Can't we decide for ourselves how often we want to give stuff to our Hoosier?
2. Quantity restrictions. We only have one box. I guess a limit of 10 at a time like on the RSS is OK, but especially for produce, one often needs more.
3. Need to request items. I, like others, wanted the RSS to have a special NH box. I decide what I have in excess and put it in the box for my hoodies to retrieve.
4. This is a donation box. Again, the request was for an NH box on the RSS. I don't mind giving away stuff to my hoodies, because I have a lot of coins. I would rather pay even full price to my neighbors that need coins.
5. Can't donate expansion materials. For me this is the greatest reason for having an exclusive place for the NH. I am rarely concerned if a random player buys something I can easily make.
6. Wishes that will probably never come true - include decorations, vouchers, and lures for donations

I selected useless feature as this is my opinion but I have used it... it affects my achievements earned and for that reason only I will use it. Only till the last achievement.

yeah, what you said, trading should be without time restrictions, and or quantity restrictions.

2. Same as #1.
3. Use the chat and ask your NH members if anyone is up for items you have excess amounts of.

Yeah, them titles and numbers are not working for everyone. Should correct itself next week *fingers crossed*

I think this is something new to the game, I am pretty sure Supercell tried it and is collecting responses and feed backs for future modifications. I mean the other new updates this week are stuff that we are familiar how they works already (new crops, new machines, new items, new production tasks), so these can get old right away. I personally like it and use it regularly without speeding up with diamonds, just plainly setting timer for the next request and donation times. Sometimes Tom is overwhelmed with my long grocery list of what item to fetch. Now his burden is easen up a little bit with the Neighborhood Trading feature. I mean 9 lemon cakes, or 9 feta salad, or 9 gnocchis can stay idle and fill up barn and then not used right away. Those stuff then can be asked in the Neighborhood Trading cos we get only 5. And now I can just send Tom for intermediary products like goat cheese, cheese, beeswax, or saws and axes, they can be used right away without overcrowding the barn. We will get used to it :o

I kind of knew that having a cool-down and not allowing to trade upgrade or expansion materials will be seen as a bad thing, but to keep exploits to an absolute minimum in the game, this had to be done. We are still monitoring and let's see what we can do in the future to make it better!

I actually like all the restrictions SC put in for this new feature. If players can donate whatever they want (including EMs), as many as they want, with no time restriction, then I can imagine that DD will be full of items that nobody want and nothing else. As a player who prefers playing solo, I rely on DD much more heavier than my neighborhood. If DD completely dries up, I might just quit the game.

I'm in a 5 person nbh, and most of my nbrs don't play often. It's a pain to actually try meet them when I see them asking for something in chat. The request option is very handy.

It's a good feature in principle. It is so very limited that I don't need it. I understand limitations and why, but they are a bit too strict for the trading to have any practical purpose for my farm (others will be happy I'm sure). I therefore continue to take my chances with the RSS "trading" among my neighbours. Right now I only use the feature for the achievement and that can take as long as it needs to. :-)
