Well... we have practiced our patience with regular farming and/or derby and failed the test... by buying the last plank needed for upgrade with diamonds or calling boats early with diamonds for derby task. Now let us practice our patience to wait for one year until the next Hay Day 5th birthday when Supercell will (hopefully) release the birthday balloon, piñata, and bouncy castle with (hopefully) small amount of diamonds prices compared to this year's costs.

If a year after today we still play Hay Day...

Can't recall any complaints last year when we had a similar special Birthday event, but I guess people change.. It is a global event, regular if you wanna call it that, but still special since the prize is exclusive. We had a small hiccup showing 5 diamonds as the main prize, but luckily we noticed it based on feedback from our players and updated it.

Can you not see that people are less than impressed with this? You 'celebrate' your PLAYERS making this game viable for another year by making them buy their own rewards.

What about the players who are not able to buy diamonds? Adults who can't afford to and children who aren't allowed to? Are they not important to SC? Sure, they don't pay to play, but without all those players the game wouldn't exist.

There are plenty of other people who feel the same, but won't say so on the forum.

There will always be players who are unhappy with choices we do - some complain about too expensive production buildings, some about too rare item drops, some even that the previous update had too much content etc. There's always bound to be unhappy players no matter what we do.

Not sure where the elephant is in this case since I have already explained how this year and last year compare in terms of the Birthday decoration (same style event), and that these new diamond packages are just an addition.

We decided to award players with a special decoration when/if they purchase a diamond package. We just try new things from time to time.

Or next year they will offer another kind of birthday present: a second dairy machine or a second sugar mill to buy with two separate diamond packages. The prices will be very high, off course...

Agree with BostonGirl. we should give presents to the birthday person, not the other way around.

OTOH, it is rather tacky to ask for presents in such a crass way. Gift registry writ large, lol.

I wonder how many people would have forked over money if the decos came in a reasonably priced package deal?

I love Hay Day. I look at how many hours of pleasure it gives me each month. I shell out real money here and there to support the game and to thank the company for giving me something enjoyable to do with my down time.

I would gladly have spent about $9.99 on a diamond package that included all three decos. Heck, I probably would have purchased two of them.

I'm just really disappointed in their decision to attached such large price tags to what are obviously the decorations for a birthday party. Shame, shame, shame.

Thank you for the chocolate fountain prize! But mostly thank you for the quick fix of the prize error, because many were back sending trucks for the Birthday Event when before stopped after seeing the disheartening last year birthday cake's prize.

I obtained the Chocolate Fountain, actually hoping for a bigger one, Chocolate Waterfall (doesn't exist).

Yeah, my "public" farm is only 49, but since I work (i.e. play) with the game almost daily, I think I have played the game to level 300 several times already. :D

Yeah we are not sure yet how the 5 diamond prize icon slipped in there, but luckily players can still participate and by doing 4 truck orders, still get the chocolate fountain! :) I think there are a couple of hours left to join in!
