Normal available for me is in the shop. Whether it would be for money, vouchers or diamonds.

This "wheating" event <= Is that something you want to happen, but there's no official word that's happening? Or is that something that's been officially announced.

I'd love a wheating event too. But I can't tell whether we're trying to wish this into existence at this point. :D Or if this is actually going to happen.

Read SmallChange's post saying the new deco would be available in an unconventional way.

But just wondering... did anyone continue with the event after this fix and get some unusual interim prizes?

Didn't get anything yet. (except for the "normal" derby prizes)

Conventional way: Buy from shop. Whether money voucher or diamond (which would all be disappointing)
Unconventional way: Wof, falling items wheating, derby prizes, event prizes.

The wheating event is a drag and drop event. They couldn't accomplish that 2 years ago so they stopped it. I want it back and lots of others want it back. It is proven now that normal events can be screwed up by SC too, so why not go back to the wheating event i supposed.

Formerly wheating events where blouses or soup or whatever thing people on lower levels could make too.

Wheat is something that everyone higher than level 0 can do. And SC had enormous difficulty in past putting the drag and drop events and the amounts on which to get prizes, even a child could tell that wouldn't be possible to cath. To have a Christmas event where at Christmas fewest people are online putting max. amounts....

pfffffft steam coming out of ears again :D

While on the subject of event prizes/rewards, is it not about time SC up the "5 Diamonds" prize to something more ... minimum 10 diamonds, considering those ditches and sandy paths cost 8 diamonds for one little block??

If they going to make it all about money and sell anything worth having only for diamonds then event prizes should be reconsidered as well.. it has been stuck at 5 diamonds for years.

Nick posted in response to questions in his maintenance thread for last night in the Announcement forum that the only change was to correct the global event prize to show the chocolate fountain. Apparently the balloons, piñata, and bouncy house were never intended to be interim prizes for the birthday event.

I continued after the fix just because I have soooooooooooooo many products to spare, and can confirm that I got some tar buckets at the 25 truck level. I have since stopped trucking :D

I thought the unconventional way of achieving rewards was with regards to the Neighbourhood trading achievement rewards and not with regards to the birthday decos, I actually still think this and I am almost certain the birthday decos will only be available through the store at hefty diamond cost.

hate to tell ya Snakiddy, but SuperCell likely gets very nice tax write offs doing the charity partnerships... I bet actually these line their pockets even more than the good ol straight up diamond purchase does.

Unconventional way I suspect is buy from shop as time limited items... So not very unconventional. Much less fun than Nick turning up at your door riding a tricycle while wearing flippers to deliver them in a pop-up pub quiz.
