Do you like new chat ?

Can they please at the same time look into moving the little bubble icon to actually type? It obscures a full line of text. Whichever genius put it there must be related to the person who decided the Edit Mode button should be right there where fatfingered people can hit it each time they want to check on who needs help.

The keyboard is covering basically the entire message area! With the old chat, I can see ALL the messages being sent by my hoodie as I'm typing. With this new chat, everything she sent is basically covered, with the exception of where the "blue" text is. The only way I know she wrote something as I'm typing now, is the "flash" that blinks to notify me she wrote something. Ended up voting 'yes'. Although it is a small sliver, that one message does refresh as people add messages. My keyboard (iPhone 6+) also has a button to hide the keyboard, which shows the full chat window again and saves the typing.

Also, as stated, new on the bottom follows basically every chat design ever.

I understand bottom up is how every chat is set up. But this isn't every chat app, it's a chat within a game. Why must it follow other chat setups? Why didn't SC think of that brilliant idea when they were in the early design stages of chat? Surely it should've been the very first thing they should've discussed, no? But instead, they waited more than a year to change something all the people who voted "no" has gotten used to. Weird.

Hard to say why it went in backwards. Perhaps they thought it would be more of a notification area than actual chat? I play two other (non-SC) games that have chat. One has new on bottom and one new on top. I definitely prefer new on the bottom.

I think SC's real issue here is overall UI design. The chat window is just a sliver on the screen. In the other games I mentioned, chat takes up the whole screen. This eliminates issues with keyboards and bouncing (though not sure what anyone means about bouncing). There is a general disconnect within all SC games, though, as far as chat is concerned. I don't remember how CoC works, but CR has a chat page, while BB has a similar setup to HD, with just a pop-out on the side of the screen.

I will get used to the new layout, but my complaint is I can not see my chat screen when typing because the font size is so small.

What font size is that? A 2? I play on an iPad....can't imagine what people see when playing on a phone. Spell check is useless because I can't see my word or the suggested word either. It's ridiculous.

Everyone in my neighbourhood is complaining they can't see, so it's not just me having this issue. We barely even chat now because of this.

PLEASE update the font size.

Guess SC will just keep ignoring this, like they did for BB and CoC ... :rolleyes:

What's to ignore. Some like it, it is consistent with other applications so new users will like it. Some do not like it. They cannot please everyone. Then again, I love it so I do hope Supercell ignores the complainers.
