OK so I had this genius idea and it's when you start a clan war you should be able to select an "alternate". For instance we had this dude leave, for good, right before war started. So I believe a Co-leader or the leader should be able to swap out the ex-clan member and pull up the war alternate. This should only be able to happen during preparation day. Would love your thoughts and feedback!
Yeah that's a pretty good idea.
For 20v20, you could select your initial 20 then select for instance 2 people that are on 'Standby' in case up to 2 people leave, essentially selecting 22 people but only two being backups.
It'd certainly reduce the risk of sometimes putting new people in war, potentially giving other people the chance if they do leave.

I don't think it's a good idea the way it's written. Like it was stated, it can be abused. Swapping a TH9 for a TH9 is not going to be an equal trade because you can have a rushed TH9 leave and replace him with an almost maxed TH9. The difference between rushed, new, and maxed TH9 is big and it only gets bigger at TH10 and TH11. It would almost certainly be abused by the clans that try to scam their way to wins.
