Game Center app changes??

I seem to remember reading somewhere in the AMA transcript that Apple was proposing changes to GC. Can anyone clarify this?

In looking online, I found things like "removing GC from iOS10" but "available through a download from the app store."

Without access to something like GC that allows me to farm without linking my game to any other part of my life, I would not play. Facebook as a gaming friend connection is totally unacceptable to me.

Forgive me if I'm creating a storm in a teacup (looking forward to the tea arriving with the update).

Mini, I feel the same. There's no way I'm even making a 'only for HD' FB account such is my loathing of FB.

It would appear GC is still going to be there, just in the background, not as a 'stand alone app'. I read this (& other reports) but most of them make no sense to me.

My (very limited) understanding though, is that providing SC has it set up properly we can still save game progress to it, but it won't be a platform as it is now - so you won't be able to check out friends progress in games (I never do anyway) but it's also unclear if we will be able to see a friend's list or add/delete friends. Hopefully someone in SC is onto it.

I hope GC doesn't go away altogether. This would be very disappointing. I loathe and detest FB and am more than annoyed that there isn't another way to connect android people to HD (I'm iOS, myself). I have a HD only FB page, but I would delete it in a nanosecond if there were another way. There is a special place in hell waiting for Mark Z (imho).

Am I correct in assuming the current loss of my HayDay Farmer pics is due to the updated IOS and the Hayday answer has been...nothing? Not all players use Facebook, I see tons of players dumping Hayday in the near future if this is not resolved.

I'm guessing maybe SC can see the numbers of how many android players are out there and assume that people can manage without it? I'm not sure this is a correct assumption because IOS players got used to having the convenience of gamecenter and dozens/hundreds of friends . Folks would have to really change their playing style to adjust.

Comments like that are just really frustrating.

Telling players they have to adapt. It's the December Clash of Clans update all over again. "Adapt".

So many people fail to understand players loved what the game was. Players loved been able to add/remove friends on GC, therefore not needing Facebook.

Which gives players.
a) Privacy.
b) Far better control over removing inactive players.
c) Avatars to better identify other players.

Telling players to 'adapt' and lose functions GC offers which is a key part of them enjoying Hay Day, is plain ignorant.

I would never have started Hay Day if Facebook was the only way; NEVER.

Apple is sure going downhill ever since Steve Jobs died...
GC wont affect my hayday...its not like i could talk to my GC friends and 95% of them are too greedy to help or sell anything good.... All they ever do is rob my shop of goods...

dont see an issue with connecting your farm to fb... Mine had no effect what so ever on my fb. I connected it once and disconnected for years and it still remembers my farm from the one time i did connect so i dont see why anyone would have issues connecting with fb...

i also deleted my hayday from GC before to see if a bug can be fixed and my farm was still there when I reinstalled the app.
