Where's the accordion?

Hi, everyone.

I am curious to know how the mystery gift operation works. I've been waiting for the accordion to come back to try for for the hundredth time, or so it seems. It was the tractor car, then a low expansion item, then something big, then a low expansion item, now it's back to tractor.

My mailbox is overflowing! Now I have to wait over 7 hours for the next time, NOT including the wait time.

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm better now, just gonna have to wait longer. Hope the accordion is not obsolete.

Of course it's not obsolete, HD doesn't 'do' obsolete - I'm sure it'll go in the shop when they put new rewards in the catalogue, but given how long it was before we got these I imagine it's going be a very long time before that happens.

Like much of the rest of the game it just requires patience & persistence.

I haven't seen the accordian in my gift catalog in a long time. I'm still trying for that and the guitar. So far, no luck. I've got lots of leafy ferns and assorted topiaries though! :rolleyes:

I've only ever seen the accordion a couple of times in my gift catalog. It would be fun. I still only have the cello even through I've been choosing the 30-card "harp" package forever. It is my understanding that if your mailbox is "overflowing" with thank you notes on the ground (40 notes in the box) you will not be able to collect any more gift cards until you spend it down below 40. Those extra cards on the ground are not going to be added to your total, so you might as well send in an order from the catalog for something. I did get 15 diamonds instead of my harp a couple of days ago. Not too bad! Good luck with the accordion.

I just got it yesterday. I'm flubbergasted! Just the saxophone and harp to go (i got 15 diamonds few days ago instead of harp).
But YES! It still is there to get!! So keep trying. :)

I recently won an accordion when choosing the 25 vouchers mystery gift option :)

I had the accordion yesterday, spent my gift cards and got a hydrangea.

"My" catalog showed tractor, shovel, ax, then back to tractor. Now my gift card is at 42/40 and now an overflow of letters at my mailbox. I have to wait for more than 6 days, to c if the next one has the accordion I can try for yet again.

I needed to use some up, I got a tree, I was happy :)

Your gift card tally reads 42? Hmmmm.... I may be missing something in my understanding of the gift card department. Can anyone help me? I seem to be catalog-challenged.

If you have gift cards falling on the ground because you have 40 in the mailbox, do those "extra" cards become accessible if you spend down your supply?

...and in the hunt for instruments...is it possible to get something "good" like the accordion as a prize even though another prize is the featured one on the mystery deco package?

Actually, I was wondering the same thing. My collection of cards is 42/40. The rest shows on the side and the collect button is dimmed. I'm gonna see if those can be collected after I use the gift cards that I've collected. I'm waiting for the accordion offer tho. It is STILL on the tractor!

If your total is 40, then you must purchase before collecting more cards.
But if you are under 40, for example 39, then get 5 gift cards, your total will go to 44 & then you must buy something before adding any more gift cards. :-)

Ooooooh, that must have been how I got 42/40 gift cards with many more on the side. The collect button is dimmed. I AM still waiting for the accordion to appear. It's been showing other prizes that I don't even want. It's been forever. Has anyone gotten the accordion, lately? Is it still available in the mix?

Are you doing any helping? If you are, you will not get any more gift cards until you use some of the ones you have. There are not "many more on the side" just waiting for you to collect them. They may be on the ground in front of the box, but they are not stacking up for you to collect. Any that you would have received while the collect button is dimmed are gone forever. This is like the fact that tool drops will not occur if your barn is full. Those aren't just stacking up out there either. That was a shock to me, but I've learned my lesson.

In my experience, the mystery deco package is available for long enough for me to collect enough gift cards to get it even if I have none when it appears. You might as well spend some of those 42 cards that you have since the Mystery Deco Package only costs 25 as I recollect. You might get some expansion materials which you have said you need. Based on the experience of other farmers waiting for tractors and windmills, you could be waiting up to 2 years for the accordion. Of course, by then it will probably be available for purchase in the shop.

So the accordian was in the gift catalog yesterday. I'd saved up the required 35 gift cards, just waiting for it. Nope....another leafy plant! :saywhat:

Mini. You can get 'good prizes' if they aren't shown. I liked the two items shown, but got one of the instruments. Given they're random prizes out of the 'available set in that value' then actually I'm guessing you can get any of them at any time.

Hello! Actually the accordion finally showed up in the catalog, so I clicked on it. Then the collection button got bright, I clicked on it and all those cards on the side were collected. 33 gift cards showed up! 😁. Not sure if I got the accordion yet, tho.

Speaking of this, does anyone know if your chances are higher to receive the item SuperCell have listed? Or it is purely random regardless?

And bad luck Midori, can be frustrating at times those packages. I know I got the 30 Diamond package once for I think 7 Axes. Something really poor like that. :(

But when you get the rare deco it's pretty exciting. Recently got my third instrument which was very pleasing. :)

The accordion is in my current mystery deco package. So far, I only have the cello, saxophone and harp. Took me forever to get the harp!! Much joy when it was delivered!! I think this is only the second time, possibly the third, I've seen the accordion offered.

I've given up trying to get the accordion and other rare items in the 25 & 35 packages. I keep getting those stupid plants that you see. I have way too many of them.

Instead I'm just going back to the 10 card package to try win Diamonds. Better off saving Diamonds to get more machine slots or to buy decorations instead.

Such a delight when you finally get it :) I'm hoping this time for BRT for 35... I haven't seen the accordion quite a while so i keep trying for harp. Saxophone i saw only once and didn't get it, guitar i got :) Just need sax and harp. And then going for extra :D

It's funny this post came up, cuz I have a question. Do we have to have the first three instruments before even getting he accordion? I don't have that tuba; wasn't planning on getting that, but I haven't gotten the accordion yet, and was starting to think. Maybe we have to get the 3 more common ones and then maybe the accordion will be received?

No, it doesn't work that way. I got the saxophone before I had the cello.

I started this thread on June 15th and I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN THE ACCORDION! I always get the torch or the fern, no accordion. Oh, please, is there a light in the tunnel! :-(

I still haven't gotten the rocking horse (but there's a reason for this one).

I stopped buying mystery deco packages coz for all those 25 cards ie 5 days worth of gift cards, it gives me a lamp post or some cheap decos tat i already have. I know acquiring some decos shouldnt be easy so tat it'd be special but devaluing our gift cards is so demoralizing. Hope SC fix em soon.

Hey, you're right! After I read your post, I googled both the saxophone and the tuba! I thought the tuba was that big funnel attached to it! Thanks for telling me the difference. :-)

I don't have it and I haven't seen it either I just hope selling them for diamonds this Christmas is NOT our "new thing" for the holidays.

I thought I was never going to get an accordion but I did finally few weeks ago by just randomly ordering one. It was totally by chance and I love it :D

The saxophone showed up and I took the chance to get that, and I still got the fern!!! Still trying for the accordion, but i haven't seen it offered lately.

My lovely lovely accordion was delivered this morning. I had all but given up on ever completing my collection of instruments (I have all six instruments now) but can confirm they are still being offered in the catalogue.

I think they are offered until end of the year, and after they will change it for a new collection? I think I've read that somewhere on the forum.

The accordion appeared on the Wheel of Fortune on my middle farm today. One spin, and it was mine!
