I know there are multiple versions of the paper and if there are not enough new ads to fill all the spaces in the DD template for all versions, perhaps the program generating the paper is performing an action to ensure there is at least something in each ad space. Don't know if this is even remotely possible...perhaps someone more knowledgable about programming knows? If it is possible, instead of a filler ad I think I would rather see a lovely pic of a smiling pig with a caption that says, "Thanks for playing HayDay! Ad space is available!" One can almost hope the next event is a free ad in half the time (every 15 minutes) or some other reward for placing ads...double coins, double XP, or maybe a voucher when the advertised item is sold. That would encourage new ads for some of the more sought after items temporarily although there are probably down sides to that too.
Well i was out of town for a few days this week with no internet so no playing hay day. Got back yesterday and glimpsed a neighbour's status saying he/she saw my ad in the dd. not sure which neighbour it was since the status changed by the time i got back to it. I did put an ad in yesterday for bacon & eggs which lingered for a long time as usual before anyone bought it. But i had not put an ad in for planks or anything. Not sure what my neighbour saw in the dd.
i'm happy a SC mod came by and flagged this over to the techs, hopefully it will get fixed soon so that old ads don't fill the dd's empty slots.

This happens more often than you think. Here's one of many rehashed DD ads I've come across, nice stats too.
Still having this issue....I'm kind of getting good at recognizing the fake ads though....still very frustrating!:mad:
I've had an instance where two of the same exact ads from the same person were DIRECTLY next to each other. I should have taken a picture haha
It's been a lot trickier for me to get things in the ads recently =/
