[Guide] Using the 1 gem boost: Is it worth it?

For clash of clan's 1 year anniversary, we got the ability to boost all of our mines, collectors, and drills for only 1 gem for a whole week! However, you may be wondering, is this even worth it? I've done the math to solve this problem.

Let's say you spend 12 gems to boost all of your gold mines and elixir collectors for a week. 1 week is 168 hours, and with each one making 3,000 per hour, that's 504,000 for each mine and collector. Multiply that by 6 and you get 3,024,000 of each resource. However, with those same 12 gems, you could get 1,674 of each resource, or 4,374 of one of the resources from the shop.

Conclusion:

Boosting with one gem for a week is worth it.

Im glad I didnt boost my barrack training time yesterday.... I only had 28 gems left.

So should I also upgrade one mine, then cancel and add the boost again for 13 days of boost?

It's 3000 per hour more than you usually do, which is the point of the thread.

bulbasaur, and even if u have level 5 collectors and mines, u would still get around 1 million of eeach resource

thanks for the post I will start by doing 3 mines and see if it is really worth it though

Why wouldn't it be worth it, one gem per mine is a great deal, thats 6 mil gold in a week if you have maxed Gold mines

and I farm so its useless

And for those who have level 6 DE drills it is a bonus of approx. 25k per drill for the période. Nice too!
