Hey Nick, We Haven't Seen You Around Much

Hey Nick. We haven't seen you around much. Just wanted to check in and make sure everything is ok at HeadQuarters. Kind of like to make sure that we "little farm game" players haven't been forgotten. You know how it is with the good kids. No one notices the good kids till they stamp their feet and throw a tantrum. So without throwing a tantrum I am sending up a smoke signal (and not the tacky heart shaped one over my farmhouse) to ask you to check in with us periodically and let us know hopefully about an update, event, how the weather is in Finland or just about anything. K? 😉

(Yes I see you have posted some in other threads)

He's said that the update is coming soon, so maybe they're just busy working on it? I hope so! I also hope he responds to this. I've missed his teasing :D

More like he's keeping his head down low to avoid all the people bugging him for previews of any upcoming updates.

Hey. No nothing in particular. I'm trying to get a point across is all. Seems like the only time we see mods or yourself is when someone is stamping their feet and being a brat. There was nice interaction with support staff and mods in the past. I'm trying to revive that a bit. Stop on in every now and again. Cheer us on.

Nick u said its gonna be a "sweet" one and you have always left some clues in your teasers in the past so guessing from that, we gonna get a candy store in town? Or new candies? Oh silly me, its gonna be candy popping baby dragons righy? ♥♥♥♥!

Am excited for the update hope it brings new stuffs or something for the higher lvl players to thrive for.

When folks are banned, it is usually because the PO detected something. As the mods there said, false positives are possible, but the only way to get help is to go through in-game support.

But perky there's no contact us option thru in game settings since last update n the conversation icon not appearing either. Then how can we send a ticket thru in game?

I had to use that form for my grandsons farm when he couldn't get logged in for about a week. It was a very good option. Is there a way to add that info in somewhere for players that are having issues and can't get to the support from their farms?

That sounds very exciting. I've always appreciated how well y'all at Supercell interact with the community. Even though not all are possible, you've implemented many requests from the community already and not every company is that attentive to player requests. We appreciate it. :D Can't wait till the sneak peeks roll out!

It's one of the most important task of a CM - listen (and if possible talk) to the players. Not all ideas, suggestions or requests are possible (or feasible) to add, but we collect quite a lot of feedback that we think might be possible at some point.

Can't say yet! :) Would love to, but just can't. We usually never say even which week the update will be out, due to several reasons. Could be a last minute bug, could be that the update doesn't get approved etc. Thus we start talking about the update in full when we are sure we know when it will be out.

Oh I was expecting sneak peeks today since you actually know everything the update has which means it's ready and sent for approval. (Still wondering how many days on average it must be taking for getting it approved after sending, maybe if it's just 3-4 days, you start sneak peeks right after sending, idk)
But the can't say, sigh, may have to wait another week.

I can reveal this - the new update has not left the building, so it's not in approval mode yet. :) 2 minutes ago a last minute feature was still added. :D

Might as well leave them now. My sheep have become accustomed to the sideways glances and actually approve of the change. This of course is a tall tale. I have no idea what my sheep are doing. They are behind some pretty tall trees (I think). The only time I check on them is for a feeding task.

But it's nice to hear such reveals from you. I see no harm in stating the current condition of the update ofcourse people won't be upset as you aren't revealing the update date or the new features), let's make this a tradition!

It seems the closest thing hay day has to a subscription is the movie tickets (diamond sells are more sporadic) which I assume provide revenue from the advertisers. maybe it would mean movie tickets to all? (just a thought)

Shadows are created by the sun moving across the sky so we could get day and night which has been on the wish list for years.

23 could be total number of changes in the changelog. keeping in mind that something as small as what decorations go in the gift catalog would count as one of those.

It would probably be best if hayday had a 12 hour cycle vs a 24 hour cycle. that way everyone in every part of the world would be able to experience day and night atleast half of the time correctly according to the outside ambient light.

My prediction is 23 changes. and the shadows is simply nick's way of saying he still be on the forum watching how we run with the cryptic comments he leaves.

Holy Moly! For the love of Pete, why does Nick torture us so intensely. Now I will be dreaming of 23 and what it could possibly mean.....maybe sneak peeks starting the 23rd? or 23 more cryptic clues before the sneak peaks? or 23 die hard Hay Dayers added to the loony bin before the new update? I envision Nick quietly laughing to himself, munching on his popcorn while we all run in circles trying to figure it out.

Currently, the 320 townie task wants 23 visitors served. Dare I hope that something new will be added to the town?

Maybe there will be a thing where 2 different neighbourhoods can do a 1 day trading market in which each neighbourhoods market has 23 slots and the shadow is from from the crop transport aircraft/helicopter which the neighbourhood has to buy (everyone will pay a bit for it)

It can't be pets. We have 10 horses, 6 donkeys, 12 dogs, 12 cats and 4 rabbits.

It should not be June 23rd or in 23hrs, for one reasosn.. SC always says they can not say when the update will go live as there might be a last minute change or there might be something goes wrong.

It drives me mad having to go back & line them all up. They did such a good job with the berries it would be great if they could sort the trees out too!

The berries can turn in edit mode? Maybe I haven't figured out how to do that yet. The trees seem to sort themselves but the berries won't turn. Oh and I tried to place a berry bush with nothing around it for several spaces in all direction, it kept highlighting red like there was something in the way.

I guess (s)he meant having trees face same direction like the bushes do.

But yeah, the bug that doesn't let bushes be planted even on open space is really annoying. I hope the fix is ready, quite sure it must be

Yeah I know, I typed what I was thinking. Popcorns are used mostly in 2 places - movies or parks.

And by city, I had a different thought.
It could be like a market where we sell or buy things. Like wholesale shops, buy large amount of something for a discount, ah, I can't figure out the right thing to do in a city. It would become more like a advance rss.

I got all excited that maybe the movie tix were coming back for everyone, but I've decided that the "moving back into the shadows and grabbing some popcorn" refers to Nick's dropping his "23" clue and retiring with his snack to enjoy the ensuing frenzy--which we are definitely providing!

Nick, this is exactly what we needed! A cryptic clue that doesn't preempt the birthday surprise or the timing of the sneak peeks. Thanks a bunch!!:thumbsup:

No, sorry Besta, I wasn't talking about Edit Mode. I was talking about having them face the same direction when you're planting a row of them - so frustrating that they face this way then that way, it takes ages to straighten them out and it's quite hard to see them when they're new, but (for me) they're to messy to be left like that. I don't understand why they didn't do the coffee, nectar & the trees at the same time as the did. the berries. I know the berries don't always fit and the trees do, so it was more of an issue, but this is still an issue for some of us.

I don't normally use edit mode, I tried it again today but still too many issues. It wouldn't let me put trees or bushes onto a part of the land across the road so I had to move them manually.

Talking about things u can't seem to get. Those instruments take forever to get. I have the cello, harp, and guitar. I still want the accordion!!!

Oh! My bad. I'm fresh off using edit mode to move stuff and that was what came to mind first. I did finally figure out if you don't drop the one facing the wrong way the next one you go to place will be going in the right direction. Of course if you use the tried and true "mess it up Besta" method you will keep dropping the wrong way one. That's the way I do it. Not on purpose. Lol

Okay, I finally twigged it. The Hay Day sheep may say they are lobbying for their own balloons--and mine certainly have exhibited tendencies toward jealousy when they look at the balloons displayed by the pig, cow and chicken pens--but they finally confessed. This is what they are holding out for. They are confident that it is what Nick meant when he said that the update was just about ready when it was pulled back for one more thing!

Yes, it's great with the berries, it's easy to see which way they're facing & dump one facing the wrong way, then they all come out the way you want them to, until you dump another one. I just want the same with the coffee, nectar & trees!

I sometimes accidentally drop a berry the wrong way, but not often now as the 'orchard' is usually so full it's a complete faff trying to find enough space to turn one around! XD

It would change mine too.

I think simply put 23 means that there will be a mix between new items ( machines, veggies, fruit an new items) as well as changes like sheep losing antlers and other changes like maybe new tasks for derby. But been fun reading everyone idea's, lol.

You mean 23 alterations either small ones (antlers gone) either big ones (dreams dreams :D )

I think this would be a change many folks are hoping for, for the reasons that have been well hashed-out. I like the LH tab, but then I have never been victimized by it.

For those who have been, I am willing to have my LH tab turn over more frequently to allow them to play their game freely again

I agree with you. I think it's a total of 23 new stuff/changes. I think it's not 23 new buildings (town), 23 new fruit trees, etc. That seems like too much in one update. So I think it's a TOTAL of 23 new stuff.

One thing we can be quite sure about is update on 20th, because the birthday is on 21st (correct me if I am wrong) and they need to have some celebrations in game, maybe just an event.

Aaaaah, it's the 21st, not the 23rd. I was close, I knew it was around (and not on) my birthday, that's all I remember. (I thought the birthday also had to do with the 23 hint that Nick gave us.)

Oh I don't know that, nobody does except supercell.
That was my guess considering the birthday, the duration from which nick is taunting about the update, and an AMA on 16th.

20th is the first date that comes to mind. 22nd would be second date to come to mind and 21st would be third (They may not be willing to mess with the update on birthday)

Every new addition to the game: changes, decos, feature will be unveiled in the sneak peeks. That's pretty much the whole point of sneak peeks...like opening up all ur Xmas presents, before Xmas.
