Add an option for derby tasks to up their point value to the next higher step, so a 307 town task that requires 22 town visitors can be upgraded to a 320 task for 23 visitors.
It would only be available while the task is still up for grabs on the board, next to the trash button.
I think 5/10 diamonds would be a fair amount.
Interesting! :) Though, this would only make it more unfair and biased in favour of the people who can spend a lot of diamonds, and I don't think that's what most people would want.
True, those with a lot of gems would use it more often. I dunno that it'd be unfair tho? Maybe limit it so a task can only be upgraded once. So they cant take a really low value task to the max. Also, maybe limit it to one upgraded task per player per derby? That might level the field a bit between those that spend like crazy vs those that dont.Quote:

Well I feel like it might be a bit unfair. because as it is, you don't necessarily have to spend a bunch of diamonds to stay in the champions or expert league (at least not if you're not in a very small NH), but if this was implemented without ANY limits at all? That wouldn't be the case. It would be a little like having an unlimited number of extra tasks for 10 diamonds each, though less extreme. Basically you'd be able to get all 320 point easy tasks really quickly if you were only willing to spend all those diamonds.
But with those limits it would be better! I would MAYBE do it sometimes too.
The Derby is already biased enough in favor of those farmers who are willing to spend diamonds. I see no reason to add another way for diamonds to influence the Derby.
Personally, I respect SC's decision to make 320-point tasks rare enough that those NHs who don't spend scads of diamonds must choose slightly lower point tasks. The last time I opted in, our NH was able to squeak into third place in the CL by getting the 10th task. Neither we nor the NH we beat had taken all 320-point tasks. It was fun to have the race last until the last hour.
