Shield Tower TH9+
I. Introduction. - Appearance- It will have a similar appearance to the tesla and has a similar mechanic to the GW on defence, but instead of giving defences extra HP, it will make them completely invulnerable to enemy troops and spells. Weakness - The lightning spell will do 1.5x extra damage to a Shield Tower.
However they will only activate once 30 % of the village is destroyed. In order for the buildings to be attacked again the shield tower must be destroyed as it won't shield itself. However only defence targeting troops will be able to attack the shield tower. It will also work on heroes and defensive clan castle troops. The second bounce of a bowler projectile will not deal damage to shield tower. It doesn't affect walls.
It is classed as a trap so it won't be visible until 30% is achieved. It also won't work even if the area it is protecting is destroyed unless 30% is achieved.
Info - Some say the Shield Tower is the hidden tesla's long lost cousin. When half the village is destroyed these pesky towers will pop up from the ground and grant invulnerability to all buildings in its radius.
Levels - 1-3. With each level the radius will increase by 1 tile.
Level 1 - 3 million gold - radius 3 tiles. (TH9) Build time - 4 days - 1 shield tower unlocked.
Level 2 - 6 million gold - radius 4 tiles (TH10 ) Build time - 8 days - /
Level 3 - 9 million gold - radius 5 tiles. (TH11) Build time - 10 days. 2nd shield tower unlocked.
Reason for this. TH9 and TH11 have been overwhelmed by valks, valks are definitely overpowered in TH9 and TH11.
Since the valkyrie is well balanced AS A TROOP it shouldn't get a direct nerf. This is where the shield tower comes in. Valks are very efficient at taking out buildings under rage so the job of the shield tower is to delay their progression until the tower is taken out by a defence targeting troop. This is also an indirect nerf to the miners so that they cant create a funnel as easily. It can also protect the TH at TH10 so that TH11 dips will become more difficult. (mass bowler and valk at th11 destroys th10's).
In my opinion this will add a more indepth layer in strategy in clash of clans. It will tackle mass valk attacks pretty well in my opinion, which will lead to a higher level of strategy at th's. There are many possibilities with this, such as air defence protection and protecting the final builder hut in a corner of a base.
