We've used lower level bases in our wars to run scout raids on the higher bases. Trying to pull out the clan castle troops and look for outside bombs, traps and teslas. Is this considered to be legal? We have no modders in our clan. We just don't want the all mighty sup erc ell to use their mighty hand on us if we are not supposed to be doing this. Like, what would happen if the clan we are warring against reports us as cheating.

Do you think that attacking higher TH base than your own should be forbidden.
no this is not illegal, modders do not drop a full army they only have to drop one barb. so i highly doubt the other clan will report you since you are doing nothing wrong
Afaik dropping a barb will not help much any more because traps that are not triggered are not transmitted in replays any more.
And of course scouting bases is legal. Even if you drop a barb you are safe. SC has an automatic detection system. The only thing that could get you banned is if all the th3s in your clan have mods installed to do the practice attacks and they just assume that a clan with 20 modding th3s is a clan full of modders.
