Terrible long waiting time?

Hello,

My son want to play this game, so i downloaded this game.
some building you build, take hours to complete, and sometimes many many more hours. Sometimes you cant go any further, because some buildings cant be paced untill the first is build ( waiting and waiting)

But.... Luckely there are gems to complete the process. Ye right... Wich cost money.
i have seen games, where you have to wait 24 hours. What does this waitingtime, add to the gamingexperience
Or gameplay. This ( waiting issue ) havnt i seen earlier on pc/ps/xbox games. Why not? It doesnt add anything to the game.
i understand that this is only a trick, to earn money. I could find any other reason for this. I dont care to pay for apps, but not when they push you in a corner with idiotic long and unrealistic waiting times. This changed my mind, and jailbreaking my ipad with an inapp purchase tweak. Now he can play this game at a normal speed.

My question is. Was it just an error? These waiting times? Or is this really the games standards?
Why gems to complete a process? A common source in many games, is gold. Why not giving the gamers, the possibility, to add more gold or other resource ( wich is a more standard during the game, and easier to get) and add this to your building so the process will complete faster.

Example: building cost 500 gold, and takes 2 hours to complete
Or: building cost 700 gold, and take 2 minutes to complete.

If the developer of the game, really loves these waitingtimes, and find them usefull, then this
is a good alternative? Still waiting, but all more cheaper.. ( but thats the problem, isnt it?)

It's game standards. You need to wait. Maybe buy more builders, they help a lot!


Btw, In-App Purchase tweak won't work with Clash of Clans.
Clash of Clans uses UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS to check whether the payment is fake.

this doesnt add anything to the game, so what is the reason for this dramatic long waiting times?

So it is as i said. Creating frustration and impatience, and hoping they will buy items to
prevent this haha, and still they having fans who adore games and developers like this? Lol

So he has 5 builders?
The waiting time won't decrease even if you have maxed up your builder huts, but more builders means more things you can do at once.
Long waiting time encourages players to buy gems, that's all.
However, in my opinion, those waiting times make the game more fun.
As offensive buildings (defenses) will not work while upgrading.
Imagine cannons (in real world) upgrading, need to seperate its parts, cannot attack while they are separated.
This is realistic right?

Sorry if my sentences are hard to understand.

frustrating long. Why not a waiting time of 2 hours instead of 24? It is so
clear, that this is only, to frustrate and let people spent money on this waiting time, wich can easily
Prevent buy the developer, to give the possibility to spent more ( standard resource ) to fasten the process, but no haha.
and still there are people, talking with passion, about games like this and their developer.

Frustrating gameplay ( i cant find another word for a 24 hour waiting time, its so clear ) only to
lure people to a store, to spent money. Just uninstalled application. Game the smurfs was also a game like this.
in-app tweak worked, but still deleted this game, because of the bitter aftertaste haha.

Also good job on lying about hacking the game for free gems.

Doesn't really make you cool or whatever, good measures showing off on a forum for a game ur son plays lol.

If you (the author of this thread) could really hack the game, why are you still complaining here!?

But if he does he cannot play with the internetton or do anything that goes throo scs server, hacked my game and i worked
for like 2 hours!

There are alot of games that require waiting time, mainly games that have long term development as their goal.

This is how most MMORPG games go. This is not street fighter or king of fighters or final fantasy.

Heck, even sims require some waiting. Wat's the fun in rushing to the end point within weeks?

Use your imaginary free gems to immediately finish every building.

If you are moaning about a couple of hours you might as well delete the app.

this tweak i mentioned,was used on the murfs game. I was confused with this app, but i put this topic here
because this gems etc problem also occurs in clash of clans. I was wondering if this was an error. I thought so, because this was to absurd. This trick want tried in this clash app, but people said in earlier posts, that that didnt work, but it did work with the smurfs.

Selling in app thing, like costumes,levels etc. For money is ok.. Right? But putting frustrations and annoying things inside the game, wich can be solved by paying, or have 24 hours of patience?. These thing happens mostly of the time in games wich played by children? I dont know how old you are? I just put this topic to ask if it was an error or not, and not to start

cool around this place ( im to old for that ). But ine thing is for sure, i will try this tweak first on others games, my 4 year old wish to try, because this is insane. Ofcourse its not fun to finish a game in a few hours, and run to the end, but you can expand the hours of gamegun, on many other ways?

Anyhow. I eish to adk if this was a tevhnicall isseu, but its not. Just deleted the app, and he may continue playing

Fair enough.

24 hours is the least of the problems though, I am at the stage where upgrades are taking ten days :)

I have the patience to wait and the game is just as playable while you are waiting. Much of the strategy as you are upgrading is deciding which buildings or structures to upgrade while still retaining defense.

It is all part of the appeal of the game for me, though I do get where you are coming from. The urge to buy gems to speed things up does sometimes become uncomfortable. If you are an impatient person that doesn't have a lot of disposable income it is probably a good idea to steer clear of the app.

I understand, but i have no dispocable income? I am not a native speaker, but have enough income
as a dentist, but does this means, ya have to throw away money, right?

Im going back to my oldmens chair now .

The whole game is about patience when upgrading. if you don't like it then don't play. I find it fun.

24 Hours isn't even denting how long waiting times will be. before I found out that having highet TH LVLs wasn't the best thing I was trying to upgrade to a TH LVL 8. A TH LVL 8 takes 8 days to upgrade, this also includes saving up 2 Mil gold from attackers and farmers. Luckily I couldn't even get past 1.5 Mil gold due to crummy farmers so I didn't upgrade. For once a farmer saved me from frustration.

You could also just play another game you like while the upgrading is in process.

You keep making this reference to 24 hours, its just a day, im sure you have work, and your son has school, and then sleep, that 2/3 of your day, you cant play another game for 8 hours? And, some upgrades take 5+ days, how about that? :rolleyes:

at least they made it free to play, they could've done this and made the download cost something. but they did make it more of a pay to win because this game takes months if not years to get everything without gems.

Use complete sentences and come up with a bit better of an argument then 24 is too long.

Unless you want your "son" to be consumed by video games then I believe the wait times save people from their own addiction. It's a great marketing scheme but on top of that it greatly restricts the amount of time one can play per day. Unless, you're one of those farmers that love to go to bed with maxed out gold/exilir storage then by all means the sky is the limit and my hats are off to them.

The key to life is patience I'm surprised to survived the 9 month waiting period for your "son" to come out of his mother's womb.
