It doesn't prevent a first interaction which can annoy people. Hundreds of spambots could be used to advertise, causing annoyances. Even worse, it could lead to phishing problems. Worst of all, children could give up their personal information, which, although this is unlikely to happen, could lead to a criminal act toward the child who gave up their personal information. None of the three things that you mentioned create solvency for any of these chronic problems. And this is just the beginning of it.

I personally think that PM's are a good idea.. honestly harassment could go in global chat as well, what are you gonna do take out global chat?? I think PM's would make a good tool..

Really? If your gonna play the children card. Ill raise you with the bad parent card. Parents are responsible for what their children do online NOT the video game. In addition Pms would be a great way to report ad spammers and start to flush out all those fake accounts over time.

Not to mention all of your excuses can easily be fixed by having a pm disabling function. Those who want pms can talk and those scared of the outside world can keep hiding.

It doesn't matter whose responsibility it is, it's the fact that this can very easily happen and CoC's reputation will almost be certainly hurt by it.

That's a ridiculous statement. You want to inconvenience thousands, possibly millions of people to catch these bots? There are much more efficient solutions out there that don't involve inconveniencing others.

You dropped my phishing point, so I think we can both agree that PMs lead to phishing problems.

Please explain how your disabling function solves all of my solutions outlined.
