Day 2-3 of my rush series
The rush continues... 9 days left on my town hall 10. Been winning defenses and doing 10-20 snipes a day for 40-50k loot down in silver league. Focusing on saving up dark for the queen upgrade to lvl 9... at about 34k right now and climbing (45k needed). Activity this weekend will be low because of personal occurences (Memorial day stuff). Maybe 3-5 attacks a day with barch.

Day 7-8 of my rush series
As of now there are 4 days left on the upgrade! It is so close I am starting to get stressed... (yes I know its a game) :facepalm:. My goblins finally finished level 5 so I recently started using them to pick off collectors or town halls for loot. I also incorporated a jump spell with cc troop giants. This can be used as a tank (along with the barb king) to attract mortars in order to core for storages or full inside collectors. When the queen finishes I will go back to my old strat but for now I am forced to use this method. This method has brought me to 4 mil elixer which is enough to upgrade a lvl 8 lab. The gold is a little behind at 3.2 mil but I still have 4 days to get it to 5 mil. The dark elixer is only at 10k but that is expected and when I get my queen back I will begin farming hard for dark again.

Boring...but getting there....
TH6 upgrade will finally finish sometime tomorrow. Waiting for upgrades is the one thing I hate about this game; at least I timed this one a little better than the last...I've had the builders and lab working 100%.
In the meantime, I decided to focus some more on my TH8/TH9 games. I've completed probably 150 or more raids across the three TH8 games this week, finishing off all of the spring traps and anything else that remained. One will remain behind to be maxed and stay as my long term TH8 game; the other is now upgrading to TH9 with a smattering of pink walls to upgrade to purple. The third has a lot more walls and troops to upgrade so that one has a few more weeks to go before it can upgrade. I also pulled the trigger on upgrading my TH9 game to TH10. Everything maxed there but heroes and walls, which I will work on later. I'll get it to TH10, add everything new, upgrade it and key troops, them make the jump to TH11. TH10 doesn't seem to hold much value (like most other even numbered THs) so a rush is definitely in order.
I never have placed much emphasis on walls, especially with all the wallbusters/jumpers in this game (EQ and jump spells, WBs, Hogs, GW, and now miners). The ridiculous cost of walls is a major put-off as well; I'd rather put that 3M gold/elixir into something else. I figure there will be time to focus more on walls come end of year when I have everything else maxed out.
As mentioned earlier, I will probably move this to a blog instead of the forum. Getting tired of the toxicity here. I might post weekly summaries on the forum if there's an interest.
TH6 - Day 18, moving on to TH7....
TH6 was fun, but it is now time to say good-bye and move up to TH7. Since moving to TH6 several days back, I've focused on my offense and getting all new items upgraded to the TH5 standard. This has largely been completed. I bought everything and upgraded it all to the same levels of existing structures. Upgrades to TH6 levels were the lab, spell factory, CC (gotta get them 20 troop units), and army camps.
My daily play time has been maybe as much as 15-20 minutes these last few days; there really aren't any high-ticket items yet, so a few raids throughout the day are usually more than enough. Elixir is always the worst to raid for, especially at the lower TH levels where there are no dark troops to use. I had 4 games I’ve been working on (this one, a TH6; a brand new TH9; a TH8 that just needs to do wall upgrades now; and a relatively new, rushed TH7). Sooo….I decided to have some fun today and just switch between the four games off and on all day running raids. Since all four are either real young or, in the case of the TH8, just has walls left, I had plenty of builders needing something to do. I even threw in a late TH7 game I have that needs one more level on the BK and got him done. Each time I did raids was maybe 20 minutes of time (slow day at the office). Now - here’s the interesting thing....
An unexpected thing happened - loot suddenly became outstanding late afternoon to early evening. Every raid started pulling in at least 150K+ in gold and elixir, many (most) pulled in 250K+ in each. Most bases I saw had 250K/250K/2K (latter being DE for TH7/TH8 bases). So...the raiding madness overpowered me. Three hours later and most of my walls were level 6. Loot has been pretty good lately, but nothing like it was today. I've been going for almost four hours straight now, switching between games.
The TH7 upgrade takes 6 days. I will use that time to upgrade my resource collectors a bit further. When I hit TH7, I'll be using my standard upgrade strategy - buy everything new, build a new base, upgrade offense, upgrade defense, upgrade walls. I'll spend a little more time at TH7, though; this is my catch-up TH, where I essentially turn into a maxer for ONE townhall level.
Loot at TH7 is pretty good (Silver and Gold leagues, both) and the army composition, once upgraded, is fairly capable. This is the first TH level where players really start saving for bigger upgrades and where the time for upgrades to complete are more than a day; that means there is much more loot available to raid. I take advantage of that, and hang out at TH7 for a few weeks or more before pulling the trigger on the TH8 upgrade.
Worth noting - aside from my initial seed gems I bought, I haven’t spent any additional $$$. I’ve been keeping my base clear of debris, catching the occasional gem box, and completing achievements to replenish my gem bank. I picked up the “Sweet Victory” achievement while raiding last night (popped 1250 trophies), and I used 300 of those today boosting barracks and timers.
